The posting
We're BlueCat—a Great Place to Work for good reason. Our team solves critical network challenges for some of the world's largest organizations. In simple terms, we manage the systems that keep networks running smoothly, securely, and reliably—the backbone infrastructure that powers digital transformation for enterprises globally. Our Intelligent Network Operations platform delivers and enables AI-driven agentic ops at scale, automating and simplifying how companies manage, secure, and optimize their networks.
But what makes us different is how we work: we believe great work happens in an environment where you're trusted, heard, and supported. With teams globally, we're building a workplace culture that values collaboration and integrity as much as innovation. If you're looking to advance your career with a company that invests in its people, this is it.
About The Role
BlueCat is looking for a Financial Analyst to serve as the FP&A business partner for our Corporate Services organization and support the Procurement motion for the company. You will own the monthly financial rhythm for these functions (variance analysis, reforecasting, and stakeholder reviews), support Board reporting and commentary, and provide spend visibility, savings tracking, and vendor-level analysis to help manage company-wide third-party spend.
You will also help us push FP&A beyond the P&L. This means building out the analytics our leaders and our PE sponsor increasingly expect, and finding smarter, AI-enabled ways to produce them. We are a PE-backed company modernizing how Finance works, and we want someone who is excited to experiment, challenge how things are done today, and help build the better way.
This role will report directly to the Director, FP&A.
What You’ll Do
Corporate Services business partnering
- Own the annual budget, monthly forecast, and long-range plan for Corporate Services cost centers (e.g., Finance, IT, Legal, People & Security).
- Run monthly variance analysis and provide commentary explaining drivers, not just the numbers, for budget owners and Finance leadership.
- Partner with department leaders on headcount, vendor, and project spend decisions and the trade-offs behind them.
- Track headcount and open requisitions against plan, and project spend against approved business cases.
- Prepare business reviews and executive reporting for Corporate Services leaders.
- Improve visibility into company-wide Facilities spend (rent and other occupancy costs).
Core FP&A & other responsibilities
- Support the company-wide budget and monthly reforecast cycles.
- Review accruals and cost center results during month-end close.
- Build and maintain driver-based models and recurring management reports.
- Respond to ad hoc analysis requests from the CFO and business leaders.
- Participate in due diligence and post-merger integration activities as needed for acquisitions.
- Identify and automate manual reporting steps.
- Additional ad hoc duties as required.
Procurement support (company-wide)
- Own and maintain a view of third-party spend by vendor, category, department, and contract, reconciling the PO management system to the ERP/GL.
- Support PO and commitment visibility, accrual review, and contract-to-forecast alignment.
- Help build the spend-governance reporting that gives other functions’ budget owners and FP&A partners a consistent view of vendor commitments.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in corporate finance, FP&A, financial reporting, or related roles.
- Strong Excel/modeling skills and comfort working with large transactional datasets.
- Hands-on experience with an EPM/planning tool (e.g., Pigment, Adaptive, Anaplan, Hyperion) and an ERP (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial information and explain drivers clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
- Working knowledge of accrual accounting and the GL/PO/invoice flow.
- Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Other Personal Characteristics
- Brings a strong sense of urgency.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to be flexible and pivot when necessary.
- Very hands-on, ready to dive into the details.
- Results-oriented individual who is a self-starter, energetic, resilient, and personally committed to achieving success.
- Outstanding communication skills.
