All smart clinics listed in one place, making it easy for the public to find services that match their expectations.
Reduces hospital burden
Directs patients to credible new healthcare startups and smart clinics with shorter wait times.
Promotes ethics & credibility
Inclusion requires adherence to smart clinic standards: transparency, patient safety, and ethics – raising the bar across the healthcare system.
Empowers patients
Referred patients receive clear awareness of a clinic’s limitations and the ethical use of health services, fostering a healthy physician-patient relationship.
This smart clinic network project is part of our physician well-being & ethics promotion program. Network partnerships will start with written agreements until 2027 June. After initial feasibility phase of one year, clinics will be contacted if any revision of standards are required, and updated information will be taken, if any. Agreement will be renewed with mutual consent & feedback.
Apply to be part of a network that supports a healthy doctor-patient relationship through fair expectation setting, transparent business information, and compliance with ethics!
Frequently asked questions
Here are answers to some commonly asked questions.
Yes, but we also need experience of independent practice after completing a supervised training. 5 years of practice can include 3-4 years of postgraduate training, & 1-2 years of independent practice.
If the clinic is registered with a local regulatory body, we can start partnership without a formal training in first year, and meanwhile recommend doing any short course in clinical ethics, from ethicists, covering at-least our minimum criteria of patient safety, confidentiality, privacy, informed consent, autonomy, justice, beneficence & non-maleficence, PMDC code of ethics and legislations, clinic transparency, learned through case discussions & moral reasoning, under expert bioethicists supervision.
We don't charge for patient referrals:
The clinic is only obliged to meet our standards, provide updated information, and follow commitments with the patients to stay on our list. Patient feedback to BMY Health which proves medical negligence of clinic will lead to its removal from our list. We do not share any legal risks or monetary benefits in patient-physician interaction. We only maintain a directory for patients information, regarding whatever information has been provided by the clinics, and try to verify as much as possible. This position of BMY Health will be clear to patients before consulting the service.
We charge for trainings that are optional:
BMY Health supports clinics in meeting smart clinic standards (digitalizing/ automating, administration, and entrepreneurship trainings, and ethics trainings) where possible, with the aim of making physicians self-sufficient in entrepreneurship, administration & automation. These trainings will be paid in future, but are not necessary and smart clinic can achieve the required skills through any learning resource available to them. A minimal admin fee will also apply for updating info of clinic in our directory, in future.
We charge for verification:
Verification of service providers not known to BMY Health team will need to submit verification fee of 10,000 PKR.
Any service provider having a setup meeting our criteria for serving the patient (online/ onsite) whether personally owned or a shared clinic setting including those availing telemedicine platforms can apply. Clinic can register for few services or all, depending on alignment with criteria.
Patients reaching smart clinics are expected to be more aware and informed of their rights through our guidelines given to them, requiring doctors to raise their ethical standards & quality of care. At the same time, patients are expected to be more aware of physician limitations, boundaries, and importance of mutual respect in patient-physician interaction.
BMY Health will keep updating standards & guidelines where needed to improve patient-physician interaction, as per feedback, and in alignment with ethics, for improving overall public trust and physician wellbeing.
Clinics can exit partnership with network anytime. They do not have any financial or legal obligations, other than providing correct information of their service & patient interaction. They are still ethically obliged to comply with clinical ethics, to stay in our directory.
