Job Description

We're seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Data Scientist to join our AI Hub team. This role is located in Pune.

As a product owner for AI Hub, you'll turn business needs into a clear, prioritized roadmap of AI products and agent capabilities. You'll work with engineering, data, and business teams to deliver them into production and drive adoption.

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:

  • Own the product vision, roadmap, and prioritized backlog for AI Hub solutions, aligning priorities to business outcomes, user needs, and measurable value.
  • Partner with business stakeholders, SMEs, and end users to shape AI and agent use cases, and write and refine story-level requirements and acceptance criteria in JIRA that engineering teams can build against.
  • Work with Data Science, ML Engineering, and Data Engineering teams to move solutions from proof of concept to production. Define success metrics, evaluation criteria, guardrails, and the "Ready for Development" and "Done" standards for each release.
  • Lead Agile ceremonies (planning, backlog refinement, standups, design, and retrospectives). Validate delivered features with stakeholders and end users to confirm requirements and expected outcomes are met.
  • Own quality and operational readiness. Review test cases and evaluation results against acceptance criteria, work with the team to resolve defects and gaps, and prepare release notes and rollout communications.
  • Drive adoption and value realization for AI Hub products. Track usage, cost, and performance, gather user feedback, and champion responsible, reusable AI practices across the Hub.

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:

  • Bachelor's or postgraduate degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 10+ years of total experience in product ownership or product and project delivery, with a track record of taking technology or AI products from concept to production (Agile delivery preferred).
  • Proven product-owner skills: Agile methodology, backlog and requirements management in JIRA & Confluence, roadmap planning, and prioritization against business value.
  • Working knowledge of AI and GenAI concepts, including LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, and agentic or multi-agent systems. You should understand how these solutions are built, evaluated, and governed well enough to guide engineering teams and make sound trade-offs. Familiarity with Python and SQL is a plus.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to translate between business intent and technical execution and to present to senior stakeholders. Advanced Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint, and business analytics using Power BI / Tableau.
  • People leadership: no direct reports, but provides guidance to less experienced colleagues, leads cross-functional initiatives, and allocates work accordingly.
