About the Role

We're looking for a motivated and hands-on Co-op to join our Brewing and Innovation team, supporting brewing operations, quality initiatives, and product development projects across our Milton and Rehoboth facilities. This program offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in brewing, fermentation science, packaging, sanitation, and process improvement within both production and research-focused environments. Working alongside brewers, quality professionals, and innovation teams, you'll contribute to daily operations while helping bring new products and process improvements from concept to execution.

This position is part of our 6-month Co-op Program, running from January 4, 2027, through June 25, 2027. The role is fully onsite at our Milton Brewery and Rehoboth Pub locations, with team members expected to work five days per week on-site.

Key Responsibilities

Brewing & Production Operations

  • Assist in daily brewing, cellar, and packaging operations across the Milton and Rehoboth facilities.
  • Support pilot brews, innovation trials, and experimental brewing projects.
  • Participate in brewing activities that support both commercial production and product development initiatives.

Sanitation & Process Compliance

  • Perform cleaning, sanitation, and Clean-in-Place (CIP) activities in accordance with brewery standards.
  • Follow established safety procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and food safety requirements.
  • Maintain accurate process records and operational documentation.

Data Analysis & Continuous Improvement

  • Collect, compile, and analyze operational and quality data to support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with identifying opportunities to enhance brewing processes, product quality, and operational efficiency.
  • Support trial execution, data collection, and reporting for innovation and process improvement projects.

Documentation & Technical Support

  • Develop, update, and revise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), cleaning procedures, and other technical documentation.
  • Help ensure processes and documentation remain accurate, compliant, and aligned with operational best practices.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Brewing Science, Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Must continue to be enrolled in school upon the completion of the co-op.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Understanding of brewery safety practices, personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, chemical handling, GMPs, sanitation, and food safety principles.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong interest in brewing, fermentation science, quality systems, and continuous improvement.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous brewery, laboratory, food manufacturing, or homebrewing experience.
  • Familiarity with brewing operations, quality systems, or manufacturing environments.
  • Experience collecting and analyzing technical or operational data.

What You'll Gain

  • Hands-on experience across brewing operations, fermentation science, packaging, sanitation, quality systems, and brewery process improvement within a research and development environment.
  • Practical exposure to commercial brewing, pilot-scale innovation, and product development processes.
  • Experience managing fermentation activities, quality assurance practices, sanitation programs, and operational excellence initiatives.
  • Opportunities to participate in experimental design, trial execution, data collection, and data analysis for brewing and innovation projects.
  • Experience contributing to SOP development, process documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Exposure to GMPs, food safety standards, brewery documentation systems, and manufacturing best practices.
  • Mentorship and training from the Brewing Manager, Head Brewer, Brewers, and Quality team members, providing exposure to multiple disciplines involved in bringing innovative products to market.
  • Opportunities to collaborate with brewing, quality, innovation, and operations teams across both Milton and Rehoboth facilities.
  • The opportunity to complete an independent capstone project, such as designing and brewing a novel recipe, leading a process improvement initiative, or conducting a technical brewing study.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
