Jackson, MS | Full-Time | $60,000–$75,000 Base Salary DOE + Performance Bonus
Build the Team. Lead the Department. Own the Results.
Are you an experienced field operations leader who knows how to manage multiple crews, hold employees accountable, solve problems, and keep projects running efficiently?
On behalf of our client, a nationally recognized property restoration company in Jackson, Mississippi, we are seeking a Field Operations Manager to lead their emergency restoration and mitigation department.
You do not need previous restoration experience to be considered!
We're looking for a proven leader who understands how to manage people, coordinate field operations, deliver excellent customer service, and drive measurable results. Our client is willing to provide restoration-specific training to the right individual who brings strong operational leadership experience.
If you've successfully managed teams in HVAC, plumbing, construction, facilities maintenance, commercial cleaning, pest control, restoration, or another field service industry, we'd love to speak with you.
What You'll Be Responsible For
This is a hands-on leadership position with ownership of the department's people, daily operations, customer experience, quality, and financial performance.

Field Operations & Scheduling
- Manage multiple crews working across different job sites simultaneously.
- Coordinate daily schedules, technician assignments, vehicles, equipment, and materials.
- Respond quickly to emergencies, unexpected changes, and scheduling conflicts.
- Monitor job progress to ensure projects are completed efficiently and meet quality standards.
- Conduct job site visits to assess progress, resolve issues, and support employees.
- Maintain equipment, vehicles, inventory, and supplies to ensure operational readiness.
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Customer Service & Quality Control
- Serve as a primary point of contact for escalated customer concerns.
- Communicate professionally and compassionately with homeowners, commercial property owners, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure crews follow established safety procedures, company standards, and service expectations.
- Oversee accurate and timely job documentation, including photographs, work logs, equipment records, and required forms.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure projects transition smoothly between teams.
Financial & Operational Performance
- Monitor labor hours, employee productivity, equipment usage, and project expenses.
- Manage departmental performance with a focus on efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce unnecessary costs, and eliminate delays.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and use operational data to improve results.
- Take ownership of department performance and communicate progress to leadership.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for an experienced leader who can take ownership of a department, not someone who needs to be told what to do every day.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in field operations, service management, construction, maintenance, or a comparable industry.
- At least 2 years of direct supervisory experience managing field employees or technicians.
- Proven experience scheduling multiple crews, coordinating resources, and managing simultaneous jobs.
- Demonstrated ability to coach employees, address performance concerns, and enforce standards.
- Experience handling customer complaints and resolving difficult situations.
- Understanding of labor costs, budgets, productivity, and operational efficiency.
- Comfortable using mobile technology, scheduling software, digital documentation, and reporting systems.

- Ability to manage urgent situations and changing priorities while remaining calm and decisive.
- Willingness to participate in after-hours emergency response.
