WHY BOX NEEDS YOU

We are looking for a high-energy, proactive, and hands-on leader to join our Technical Accounting and External Reporting team. The ideal candidate thrives in external reporting, technical accounting research, and policy formulation, and possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills. You are a strategic problem solver capable of translating complex accounting guidance into actionable, scalable business solutions in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Technical Research & Accounting Policy: Evaluate the accounting treatment for complex and non-routine transactions (e.g., debt and equity offerings, strategic investments, M&A, cloud infrastructure commitments, and new product initiatives). Research US GAAP and SEC regulations, draft clear and authoritative technical accounting memorandums, and maintain/update global corporate accounting policies.
  • External Reporting & SEC Filings: Prepare, review, and coordinate financial statements and footnote disclosures for external SEC filings, including Form 10-K, Form 10-Q, Form 8-K, Proxy Statements, and other regulatory filings using modern disclosure management tools (e.g., Workiva/Wdesk).
  • Contract & Commercial Reviews: Partner cross-functionally with Legal, Sales Operations, and Procurement to review non-standard revenue, vendor, and licensing contracts to identify accounting implications and ensure policy compliance.
  • Audit Management & Coordination: Lead technical accounting discussions and coordination for quarterly reviews and annual audits, managing deliverables and relationships with internal and external auditors.
  • Month-End & Financial Operations: Prepare and review monthly/quarterly reconciliation schedules, journal entries, and variance analyses for technical accounting areas (e.g., stock-based compensation, leases, capitalized software, debt/equity, and segment reporting).
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a trusted technical advisor across Controllership, FP&A, Treasury, Tax, Legal, Workplace Services, and Engineering teams.
  • Process Improvement & AI Automation: Champion continuous process improvement, leveraging automation tools and AI-driven workflows to streamline reporting cycles and enhance operational efficiency.
  • SOX Compliance & Internal Controls: Design, implement, and maintain effective internal controls over financial reporting (SOX 404) for technical accounting and external reporting processes.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
