The posting

Opportunity Overview This role represents an exciting opportunity for an experienced building electrical professional, specialized in fire alarm systems, wishing to join our Longueuil office. You will work closely with our fire alarm expert and contribute to the design of alarm systems, as well as to the growing volume of S/1001 testing and inspections, for both existing buildings and new construction.

Key Responsibilities

Design fire alarm systems and prepare technical documents and drawings showing devices and system networks. Coordinate and perform S/1001 testing and produce the required reports. Participate in existing conditions surveys, drawing production in AutoCAD and Revit, and specification writing. Collaborate closely with the engineer leading fire alarm projects, supporting his files at the Longueuil office. Communicate with clients and conduct on-site inspections or tests as required. Perform other related tasks, including administrative duties.

 

Desired Profile

College diploma (DEC) in a relevant field such as architectural technology, electrical engineering. 3 to 5 years of relevant experience. Fire alarm systems and fire alarm design experience. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and a willingness to deal directly with clients. Proficiency in AutoCAD and knowledge of Revit (an asset). Knowledge of relevant design codes and standards, including the Canadian Electrical Code. Any experience in commissioning or site supervision is considered relevant equivalent experience for S/1001 mandates. Existing S/1001 experience is an asset. Resourcefulness, collaborative spirit, and a strong commitment to project success.
