Application Link: https://vacancies.graham.co.uk/vacancies/24045/graham-academy--assistant-pre-construction-commercial-coordinator--interior-fit-out.html Job Description: The Graduate Pre-Construction Commercial Coordinator shall: · Support the commercial and contractual review of interior fit-out and refurbishment tenders. · Review tender documents, contract conditions, specifications, and employer requirements to identify risks and opportunities. · Assist in preparing tender queries, qualifications, and clarifications for submission to clients and consultants. · Support the development of commercial strategies, risk registers, and tender review documentation. · Work alongside Estimators and Bid Managers to ensure commercial considerations are incorporated into tender submissions. · Assist in reviewing subcontractor and supplier packages to ensure compliance with tender requirements. · Help prepare commercial reports, tender adjudication documents, and bid presentation material. · Support negotiations with clients, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors where appropriate. · Develop an understanding of contract forms including NEC, JCT, and bespoke client agreements. · Assist in the handover of successful tenders to delivery teams, ensuring commercial and contractual requirements are clearly communicated. · Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, clients, consultants, and supply chain partners. · Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Pre-Construction and Commercial functions. About You GRAHAM ROUTES TO BECOMING A PRE-CONSTRUCTION COMMERCIAL MANAGER GRADUATES We offer a two year programme which focuses on developing your technical and interpersonal skills. In addition, a structured, mentored training programme, aligned to a recognised professional qualification, will set you on the pathway to chartership. Through early responsibility you’ll learn quickly on challenging projects with the opportunity for fast track career advancement. THE RECRUITMENT PROCESS: • The closing date for applications will be Friday 8th January 2027. • Interviews will commence in February 2027. • Successful candidates will be notified in March 2027. • All successful applicants will join the business by September 2027, with some opportunities to start earlier where possible. Requirements Personal Specification Essential Technical Competencies · Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or Construction Management. · Strong commercial awareness and an interest in the construction and interior fit-out sectors. · Excellent written and verbal communication skills. · Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving abilities. · Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications. · Ability to understand and interpret technical documentation and construction drawings. · Right to work in the UK. Desirable · Placement, internship, or previous experience within construction, interiors, fit-out, commercial, or pre-construction environments. · Understanding of construction contracts including NEC and JCT. · Knowledge of commercial office, workplace, or refurbishment projects. · Awareness of procurement strategies and tendering processes. · Appreciation of Health & Safety requirements within construction.
