Votre rôle

Vous souhaitez apprendre un métier spécialisé et développer votre expertise dans un environnement manufacturier unique?

À titre d'Apprenti(e)-Modeleur(se), vous travaillerez aux côtés de professionnels expérimentés afin de participer à la fabrication, l'entretien et la réparation des modèles utilisés dans les opérations de fonderie. Grâce au compagnonnage et à l'apprentissage pratique, vous développerez progressivement les compétences nécessaires à la maîtrise du métier.

Vos responsabilités

Sous la supervision du contremaître et en collaboration avec l'équipe de modèlerie, vous serez appelé(e) à :

  • Participer à la réparation et à l'entretien des modèles et des boîtes à mouler.
  • Préparer les matériaux et composantes de bois selon les spécifications établies.
  • Effectuer le collage, l'assemblage et la finition des pièces.
  • Appliquer les scellants et revêtements requis sur les modèles.
  • Utiliser divers outils manuels, instruments de mesure et équipements de travail du bois.
  • Développer vos compétences en lecture de plans et en calcul technique.
  • Apprendre les méthodes et techniques du métier grâce à l'accompagnement de modeleurs expérimentés.
  • Maintenir un environnement de travail propre, sécuritaire et organisé.
  • Respecter les normes de qualité, de santé, de sécurité et d'environnement en vigueur.

Profil recherché

Qualifications requises

  • DEP en modelage, ébénisterie, menuiserie ou domaine connexe.
  • Intérêt marqué pour le travail manuel de précision.
  • Souci du détail et de la qualité du travail exécuté.
  • Désir d'apprendre un métier spécialisé à long terme.

Exigences et conditions d'embauche

  • Capacité à travailler dans un environnement manufacturier.

  • Réussite d'un examen médical préemploi incluant un dépistage de drogues et d'alcool.
  • Vérification des antécédents judiciaires requise avant l'entrée en poste.
