The posting

SUMMARY We are looking for a Senior Executive, Financial Accounting, who will be responsible for tracking construction costs, supporting and preparing accurate and timely financial accounting and reporting requirements and ensuring completeness of construction costs involved in the project lifecycle.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Maintaining standardized cost templates tracking construction costs and preparing appropriate accounting treatments for monthly review and bookkeeping • Supporting the tracking of a complete list of contracts, purchase orders, payment certificates, and change orders issued to ensure accurate estimation of construction costs to support financial reporting requirements • Collaborate with regional project teams and cost management teams to prepare construction cost accruals and estimates based on well collated supportable evidence/basis as of each period end. • Manage and communicate timely with other finance functions to identify any gaps/issues in relation to CIP/PPE in terms of accurate bookkeeping. Participate effectively with post contract cost variances and change control processes • Obtain asset listing throughout the construction phase to drive accurate and timely reclassifications from construction-in-progress to the relevant asset classes. • Support internal and external audit requirements involving but not limited to construction costs, commitments, project costing and any other project-related accounts. • Partner with internal stakeholders to support short-term and long-term capital project initiatives. • Undertake ad hoc assignments & related duties as and when necessary.

• Bachelor’s degree in accountancy/finance or equivalent from an accredited educational institution • Minimally 3 years of relevant work experience in financial/cost accounting, or finance in project management roles, particularly the construction industry • Strong business partnering, stakeholder management and good communication skills effectively across all levels • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail, with the ability to structure and manage multiple tasks on hand while maintaining work output accuracy • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint). o Familiarity with working with large datasets in Excel is advantageous
