Join the Bristol Hospice team as a Hospice Bereavement Coordinator, where your work will play a critical role in providing comfort, support, and dignity to those nearing the end of life! The Bereavement Coordinator is responsible in planning, implementing and maintaining a bereavement program to meet the needs of families/caregivers from Bristol Hospice for up to one (1) year following the death of the individual hospice patient.
Territory: Remote covering Midwest and Northeast Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
Rate of pay: $28/$31/hour

On An Average Day You Will: (includes, but not limited to)
- Coordinate the assessment and delivery of grief counseling needs and services (one- on-one, groups, and ongoing follow-up) to ensure timely and appropriate services are provided to family/caregivers
- Plan for Bereavement Program development, expansion and refinement through annual evaluation of services
- Provide bereavement support to hospice personnel coping with work related grief through one-on-one counseling, supervision of interns providing one-on-one counseling, and referral to community resources
- Provide bereavement information and referral services to callers from the community
- Expand and maintain community resource list, as needed
- Assist as needed in evaluating and planning services to meet hospice personnel support needs (i.e., yearly retreats, weekly support groups)
- Function independently but seeks and accepts guidance from other members of the interdisciplinary group, or from members of the community
- Participate in hospice activities such as in-service education, hospice personnel meetings and relevant committees
- Advance professional knowledge and skills
- Other duties as assigned
What You'll Bring to The Team:
- Must possess a bachelor’s degree or equivalent specialized experience or theological degree from a college or university – OR – master’s degree in social work with qualifications of experienced clinical grief counseling
- Must have experience with families/caregivers and patients through death/dying issues
