Job Title: Group Sales Manager Job Department: Cog Railway   Job Pay Rate: $65,000.00 / annual salary   Job Summary: Research, prospect, develop, contract, and grow group business for The Broadmoor Manitou & Pikes Peak Cog Railway and The Broadmoor Seven Falls. Responsible for generating revenue through tour operators, motorcoach operators, destination management companies, corporate groups, incentive travel, association groups, educational travel, and other organized group segments. Develop strong industry relationships, actively prospect new accounts, maintain existing accounts, and achieve annual revenue and visitation goals. Responsibilities include lead generation, sales calls, site inspections, proposal development, contract negotiation, CRM management, revenue forecasting, and turnover of confirmed business to reservations and operations teams. Learn more about Broadmoor here.   Essential Duties and Responsibilities include following. Other duties may be assigned:

Develop and maintain relationships with domestic and international tour operators, receptive operators, motorcoach companies, student travel organizations, and affinity travel planners. Achieve annual group sales revenue, visitation, and account acquisition goals established by management. Utilize Salesforce CRM to track all leads, opportunities, activities, forecasts, contracts, and account history. Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and provide monthly sales forecasts and activity reports. Prospect and develop opportunities within corporate meetings, incentive travel, association events, educational tours, student travel, and special-interest travel segments. Represent the Cog Railway and Seven Falls at industry trade shows, sales missions, marketplaces, destination events, and familiarization tours. Develop strategic partnerships with hotels, resorts, destination marketing organizations, visitor centers, transportation providers, attractions, and regional tourism organizations. Utilize CRM tools, digital lead-generation platforms, industry databases, LinkedIn, tourism directories, and market research tools. Maximize group revenue through bundled experiences and cross-selling opportunities between the Cog Railway, Seven Falls, and other Broadmoor attractions. Understand Cog Railway operations (parking, retail, trains operations) and Seven Falls park operations (parking, retail, food and beverage and park operations) to provide groups clarity on how to maximize their experiences; Become familiar with RocketRez ticketing and reservation system to understand availability for groups for both operations; Work with Broadmoor sales team to develop relationships with resort groups and provide the Cog Railway and Seven Falls as recreational options to the group while on site; Provide operational support as needed, including guest services, group logistics, wayfinding, and other frontline functions during peak demand periods or staffing shortages. Minimum three to five years of sales experience in tourism, hospitality, attractions, transportation, destination marketing, or related industries preferred. Experience working with tour operators, receptive operators, motorcoach companies, meeting planners, and student travel organizations strongly preferred. Demonstrated success achieving sales goals and managing sales pipelines. CRM experience required.

Ability to communicate effectively with tour operators, travel planners, meeting professionals, corporate clients, hospitality partners, and the public through written, verbal, and presentation formats.

Ability to analyze sales reports, revenue forecasts, pricing models, conversion metrics, booking trends, and market performance data.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Microsoft 365 Suite, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Salesforce CRM, RocketRez, Internet research tools, digital prospecting platforms, customer databases, and reporting applications.

Employee may have to travel to 14,115 feet above sea level. Employee may work in close proximity to diesel engines and train horns.

  *This position is an in-office position. Work schedule during the shoulder season (mid-Sept – mid-May) is Monday-Friday. Work schedule during the summer season is either Sunday-Thursday or Tuesday-Saturday.
