Job Title: Bell Attendant Job Department: Guest Services Job Pay Range: $20.00 - $28.00 / hour (Inclusive of hourly pay rate + gratuities)
Breakdown: Based on $12.14 per hour base wage + gratuities; historically, this position averages gratuity earnings of $8.00 - $16.00 per hour. Gratuities fluctuate based on the time of year. This position always earns at least the current Colorado minimum wage $15.16 per hour.
Job Summary: As a Bell Attendant, you will serve as the primary ambassador of the Broadmoor, delivering elevated, personalized arrival and departure experience, and providing hotel information. Learn more about Broadmoor here. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include following. Other duties may be assigned:
Warmly greet and welcome all arriving and departing guests by name, opening doors and managing front-drive or lobby first impressions. Transport, tag, secure, and store guest luggage and belongings with precision and care during arrivals, departures, or temporary storage requests. Escort guests to their accommodations, provide a detailed mini-tour of Broadmoor amenities, and orient guests to in-room technologies (lighting, climate control, entertainment systems, and safes). Inform guests about hours of operation, resort facilities (spas, dining outlets, pools, fitness centers), and Colorado points of interest or activities. Assist guests by providing directions to meeting rooms, restaurants, shops, and other hotel facilities and amenities. Arrange and log requests for taxicabs, shuttles, house cars, or limousine services, and assist guests in and out of vehicles. Deliver messages, parcels, packages, and special VIP amenities directly to guest rooms. Maintain immaculate cleanliness and organization at the bell desk, entryway, and luggage storage areas. Ensure complete compliance with The Broadmoor guidelines, operational procedures, safety policies, and institutional standards for excellence (Forbes Travel Guide and AAA Five-Diamond). Maintain a willingness to learn about The Broadmoor’s history, estate grounds, wilderness properties, culinary offerings, and retail outlets. Execute additional duties and responsibilities as required.

What we are looking for:
Minimum of a high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) equivalent. Previous experience in bell attendance or in guest facing role is highly preferred; however, an equivalent combination of relevant education and professional background will be considered. A valid driver’s license is required, as this role may involve transporting equipment across the Resort. Please note that all employees operating Broadmoor vehicles must be at least 18 years of age. Impeccable personal grooming and adherence to strict luxury grooming standards, a calm demeanor under pressure, and discretion regarding confidential guest data. A highly motivated team player who connects easily with colleagues and drives results through positive energy and seamless collaboration. Excellent communication skills, negotiation, conflict resolution and ability to work in fast-paced environment. Ability to lift, pull, or push up to 100 lbs. with assistance and proper safety practices. Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, as required by the calendar of events.
