Inventory Control Specialist We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to maintain accurate inventory records and ensure inventory integrity across our operation. In this role, you will perform cycle counts, investigate inventory discrepancies, maintain SKU data, and support inventory accuracy through reporting and analysis. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and comfortable working with inventory management systems and warehouse operations. Key Responsibilities
Perform scheduled cycle counts and verify inventory accuracy by comparing physical inventory to system records. Investigate inventory discrepancies and determine root causes of variances. Update and maintain inventory records, ensuring accurate quantities and costs within the inventory management system. Compile and analyze information from shipping and receiving documents, purchase orders, requisitions, contracts, and accounting reports. Create, assign, and maintain SKU numbers while preserving inventory coding standards. Update SKU master files, including additions, deletions, and modifications as needed. Generate inventory reports and provide findings to management. Monitor and resolve inventory issues, including negative inventory balances, stock discrepancies, and out-of-stock situations.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED. Minimum of one (1) year of inventory control, warehouse, logistics, or related experience. Strong data entry and record-keeping skills. Basic math and analytical skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to interpret and follow written and verbal instructions. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. Experience using ERP, inventory management, or warehouse management systems.
Preferred
Experience performing cycle counts and inventory reconciliations. Knowledge of inventory control, receiving, and material management processes. Experience preparing inventory reports and analyzing discrepancies.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment
Work is performed in both warehouse and outdoor environments and may involve exposure to varying temperatures, noise, dust, and weather conditions. Frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds. Occasionally lift up to 80 pounds. Ability to bend, kneel, climb, push, pull, and perform other physical activities as required. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
