The Opportunity:
CACI’s National Mission Systems (NMS) group is seeking a highly motivated Network Engineer to support mission‑critical environments by ensuring secure, reliable, and scalable infrastructure across cloud and bare‑metal systems. This role puts you at the center of delivering a secure, resilient cutting‑edge ground infrastructure housing mission critical space-based applications. You will shape how national security missions are executed from space to ground using modern deployment approaches and emerging technologies.
Must be able and willing to work onsite at CACI facility in Sterling, VA.
Responsibilities:
- Design, maintain, and optimize LAN/WAN/VPN network infrastructures
- Monitor and evaluate network performance and health
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex network, hardware, software, and infrastructure issues
- Plan, test, and implement network upgrades, configurations, and revisions
- Ensure compliance with network security policies and government regulations
- Evaluate emerging network and communication technologies
- Provide escalation support and communicate incident status to management and customers
- Conduct site surveys, planning, and design support
- Maintain thorough documentation of network configurations, procedures, and incidents
- Collaborate with internal teams, external service providers, and customers
Qualifications:
Required:
- Active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field of study
- 10+ years of technical experience in Network and Transport technologies, tools, and techniques
- Deep expertise in Cisco, Palo Alto, VMware NSX, VPN technologies, cryptographic devices, routing and switching, and cloud networking.
- Experience supporting both classified and unclassified networks.
- Proficiency in network monitoring and analysis tools
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and leadership abilities
- Certifications in information security (CISSP or Security+) required
Desired:
- Full systems lifecycle experience
- Experience with DevOps processes and tools
- Certifications such as JNCIA, JNCIP, CCNA, CCNP, or similar are highly preferred

Pay Range:
There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
$120,800 - $265,800
