The posting

Job Title – Senior Manager – Sales

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

About the Role

We are seeking an accomplished and commercially driven Senior Manager – Sales to lead new business acquisition, expand market presence, and accelerate revenue growth within the staffing, recruitment, and workforce solutions industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing strategic sales initiatives, winning new corporate accounts, building relationships with senior decision-makers, and driving sustainable business growth across the UAE and wider GCC market.

This role requires a strong hunter mindset, proven experience in B2B staffing or workforce solutions sales, and the ability to manage the complete sales cycle from prospecting and lead generation to commercial negotiations and contract closure. The ideal candidate will combine strategic thinking with hands-on business development capabilities, strong commercial acumen, and a consistent track record of achieving revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Strategy & Business Growth

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets, increase market penetration, and strengthen the organisation's competitive position.
  • Identify new business opportunities across the UAE and GCC, focusing on enterprise clients, multinational companies, large corporates, and high-growth businesses.
  • Develop targeted sales strategies for contract staffing, workforce outsourcing, professional recruitment, managed services, and other relevant workforce solutions.
  • Identify high-potential industry sectors, target accounts, and untapped markets to accelerate business expansion.
  • Establish clear sales objectives, revenue forecasts, and performance metrics aligned with overall business goals.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and client demand to refine sales strategies and identify emerging opportunities.

New Business Acquisition & Lead Generation

  • Drive new client acquisition through proactive prospecting, cold calling, networking, referrals, industry events, and targeted outreach.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified prospects, prioritising new client acquisition and new revenue generation.
  • Identify and engage senior decision-makers, including CEOs, CHROs, HR directors, procurement heads, talent acquisition leaders, and business unit heads.
  • Lead client discovery meetings to understand workforce challenges, operational requirements, and business priorities.
  • Develop compelling value propositions that position workforce and staffing solutions as strategic business enablers.
  • Convert prospects into new commercial accounts through structured follow-ups, solution presentations, negotiations, and effective deal management.
  • Maintain a strong focus on winning new logos rather than relying solely on inherited accounts or existing client relationships.

Enterprise Sales & Commercial Negotiations

  • Manage the complete sales lifecycle, from initial prospecting and qualification to proposal development, negotiation, and signed contract.
  • Lead high-value commercial discussions with senior stakeholders and procurement teams.
  • Develop tailored proposals, pricing models, service presentations, and commercial offers in collaboration with relevant internal teams.
  • Negotiate pricing, contractual terms, service scope, and commercial conditions while protecting profitability and business interests.
  • Evaluate opportunities based on revenue potential, delivery feasibility, competitive positioning, and expected margins.
  • Maintain momentum throughout the sales cycle and ensure timely progression of opportunities towards closure.
  • Build a strong understanding of client procurement processes, vendor registration requirements, and enterprise contracting practices.

Staffing & Workforce Solutions Sales

  • Drive sales of contract staffing, temporary workforce solutions, permanent recruitment, recruitment process outsourcing, and other relevant workforce services.
  • Understand client workforce planning requirements and recommend suitable solutions based on business needs, scale, timelines, and budgets.
  • Position staffing and outsourcing solutions to address workforce flexibility, talent availability, operational efficiency, and resource scalability.
  • Develop sector-specific sales strategies to target businesses with recurring or large-scale workforce requirements.
  • Work closely with recruitment, operations, and service delivery teams to validate proposed solutions and ensure realistic client commitments.
  • Identify opportunities to expand service offerings within newly acquired accounts through additional workforce requirements and related solutions.

Strategic Client Engagement & Relationship Development

  • Establish trusted relationships with senior executives and key stakeholders across prospective client organisations.
  • Develop a strong understanding of client business models, workforce challenges, expansion plans, and procurement priorities.
  • Position the organisation as a strategic partner by presenting commercially relevant and tailored workforce solutions.
  • Manage initial client engagement and ensure a structured handover to account management and delivery teams following successful acquisition.
  • Maintain engagement with newly acquired clients during onboarding and early service delivery to support successful account activation.
  • Identify opportunities for future business expansion and strengthen the organisation's reputation within target industries.

Revenue Management & Sales Performance

  • Take ownership of individual and team revenue targets, new-client acquisition goals, and commercial performance indicators.
  • Prepare accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and revenue projections for senior management.
  • Monitor lead conversion, win rates, sales cycle duration, deal value, and pipeline quality to improve sales effectiveness.
  • Analyse performance against targets and implement corrective measures to address shortfalls.
  • Maintain disciplined CRM practices, ensuring all opportunities, client interactions, forecasts, and next steps are accurately documented.
  • Provide regular management updates on sales performance, business opportunities, competitive developments, and potential commercial risks.

Team Leadership & Sales Development

  • Lead, mentor, and support sales professionals to strengthen prospecting, consultative selling, negotiation, and deal-closing capabilities.
  • Establish sales priorities, account-targeting strategies, and performance expectations for the team, where applicable.
  • Conduct regular pipeline reviews, sales meetings, and performance assessments to maintain accountability.
  • Encourage a proactive, results-oriented sales culture focused on new business acquisition, revenue generation, and continuous improvement.
  • Share effective sales practices and market intelligence to improve overall team performance.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership on sales planning, resource allocation, and market expansion initiatives.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Service Delivery

  • Work closely with recruitment, operations, finance, legal, and service delivery teams to ensure proposed solutions are commercially viable and operationally achievable.
  • Coordinate the transition of newly acquired clients to the relevant delivery and account management teams.
  • Ensure client expectations, contractual commitments, workforce requirements, and service timelines are communicated clearly.
  • Gather feedback from internal teams and clients to improve sales processes and the overall customer experience.
  • Support the resolution of commercial or delivery-related issues that may affect client confidence or future business opportunities.

Market Intelligence & Competitive Positioning

  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of the UAE staffing and outsourcing market, including industry trends, competitor pricing, and customer expectations.
  • Identify emerging sectors, major accounts, and new business segments with strong growth potential.
  • Develop market intelligence through client interactions, industry research, networking, and competitor analysis.
  • Refine sales positioning and commercial proposals based on market feedback and changing workforce requirements.
  • Represent the organisation professionally in client meetings, industry events, and relevant business networking forums.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, Human Resources, or a related discipline. A master's degree or MBA is preferred.
  • Minimum 8–10 years of experience in B2B sales, business development, or enterprise solution selling, preferably within staffing, recruitment, contract staffing, or workforce outsourcing.
  • Demonstrated track record of acquiring new corporate clients and consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong experience in developing new business pipelines through outbound prospecting, cold outreach, networking, and direct client engagement.
  • Proven ability to manage complex sales cycles, negotiate commercial agreements, and close high-value business opportunities.
  • Good understanding of the UAE and GCC corporate markets, with established professional networks being an advantage.
  • Experience selling workforce solutions to enterprise clients, multinational companies, or large corporate organisations.
  • Previous experience leading or mentoring a sales team is preferred.
  • Proficiency in CRM platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar tools.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
