  • Identify gaps in HSE compliance and coordinate corrective and preventive actions with the relevant teams.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture and encourage employees to report hazards, unsafe acts, and near misses.

Site Inspections & Risk Management

  • Conduct regular site inspections, safety walks, and audits to identify potential hazards and unsafe working conditions.
  • Assess risks associated with construction activities and recommend appropriate control measures.
  • Review risk assessments, method statements, job safety analyses, and permit-to-work documentation.

  • Ensure that personal protective equipment (PPE) is available, suitable, and used correctly.
  • Follow up on safety observations and ensure corrective actions are completed within the agreed timelines.

Safety Training & Awareness

  • Conduct HSE inductions for new employees, contractors, and site visitors.
  • Organize toolbox talks, safety briefings, and awareness sessions to communicate potential risks and safe working practices.
  • Ensure personnel understand the hazards associated with their tasks and the precautions required.
  • Maintain records of training, inductions, toolbox talks, and other safety-related activities.

Incident Reporting & Emergency Preparedness

  • Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions to identify root causes and prevent recurrence.
  • Prepare incident reports and recommend appropriate corrective and preventive measures.
  • Ensure emergency response procedures are communicated, understood, and implemented.
  • Coordinate emergency drills and monitor the availability of first-aid facilities, firefighting equipment, and emergency exits.
  • Report serious safety concerns promptly to the relevant project management and HSE personnel.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate HSE records, including inspection reports, risk assessments, incident logs, training records, and corrective action registers.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly HSE reports as required.
  • Monitor safety performance indicators and highlight recurring issues or areas requiring improvement.
  • Support internal and external HSE audits, inspections, and authority visits.
  • Ensure that relevant safety documentation is updated, organized, and readily available for review.

Coordination & Environmental Management

  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, supervisors, contractors, and consultants to address HSE-related concerns.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide updates on safety performance, compliance issues, and corrective actions.
  • Monitor housekeeping, waste management, dust control, noise exposure, and other environmental aspects of site operations.
  • Ensure hazardous materials are handled, stored, and disposed of in accordance with applicable requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen workplace safety and environmental performance.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.

  • Previous experience in an HSE or safety role within construction, engineering consultancy, infrastructure, or related projects.
  • Good knowledge of UAE HSE regulations and applicable Dubai authority requirements.
  • Practical experience conducting site inspections, risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations.
  • Familiarity with risk assessments, method statements, permit-to-work systems, and HSE reporting procedures.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and the preparation of HSE documentation.

Key Skills & Competencies

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
