Job Description

Cantor Fitzgerald’s 2027 Sales & Trading Internship offers a hands‑on, rotational experience within the firm’s global markets platform. Interns will work alongside seasoned salespeople, traders, and prime brokerage professionals, gaining insight into execution, financing, research, and risk management for institutional clients across asset classes. The program blends on‑the‑job learning, senior‑lead training sessions, and a capstone project to develop the analytical, quantitative, and communication skills essential for a career in financial markets.

Responsibilities

  • Opportunities across Fixed Income, Equities, and Prime Brokerage desks to observe client service, risk management, and product execution.
  • Shadow salespeople, traders, and prime brokerage professionals, asking thoughtful questions to understand daily decision‑making.
  • Monitor market developments throughout the summer and discuss their impact with desk teams.
  • Participate in senior‑led training sessions and desk‑level discussions across asset classes.
  • Build relationships with colleagues across the business and actively seek constructive feedback.
  • Complete a summer project on a specific market or business topic, conducting research and analysis using internal resources.
  • Present project findings to senior leaders at the internship’s conclusion.
  • Assist with data analysis, trade preparation, and client reporting as needed.
  • Demonstrate curiosity, initiative, and sound judgment in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Adapt to assignments and contribute to team objectives.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program (rising junior or senior) at an accredited university.
  • Strong academic record in Finance, Economics, Business, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated interest in financial markets, trading, and macroeconomics across equities and fixed income.
  • Solid analytical and quantitative skills with comfort handling data under time pressure.
  • Basic proficiency in Excel; familiarity with Bloomberg or similar market data tools is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multiple desks and teams in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, and adaptable to changing assignments.
  • Curiosity to ask thoughtful questions and pursue deeper market understanding.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States for the duration of the summer internship.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
