Job Summary

The R.O. Ski Rental Technician helps guests select, fit, and use ski rental equipment safely and comfortably. This role prepares and maintains rental gear, provides friendly customer service, and supports an efficient rental operation throughout the season.

Responsibilities

Assist guests with selecting and fitting skis, boots, poles, and related equipment based on their needs and ability level.

Collect accurate guest information and set equipment bindings according to established procedures and applicable safety standards.

Explain basic equipment use, care, and return procedures.

Inspect, clean, maintain, and organize rental equipment; identify damaged or unsafe items and remove them from service.

Process equipment checkouts and returns, keeping rental records and inventory accurate.

Keep work areas organized, clean, and ready for daily operations.

Work collaboratively with team members to manage guest flow during busy periods.

Follow workplace safety procedures and equipment handling guidelines.

Qualifications

Customer service experience is preferred.

Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with guests and colleagues.

Comfort using basic computer or point-of-sale systems, or willingness to learn.

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow equipment setup and safety procedures.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, seasonal environment, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Ability to stand for extended periods and lift or move rental equipment, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Interest in skiing or snow sports is helpful but not required.
