Ready to accelerate your career?

Cardata is where driven people make an outsized impact. We’re a small but mighty team transforming how businesses manage vehicle reimbursement — replacing outdated programs with smart, automated solutions.

Our vision is bold: to provide the most comprehensive, intelligent, and automated software and services for creating ideal vehicle programs. And we’re building toward that vision every single day.

Join us and you’ll find challenge, growth, and the chance to deliver real impact — helping hundreds of companies and thousands of drivers across North America focus on the work that matters most to them.

As the IT Operations Manager, you are the go-to person for all things about our IT Operations at Cardata.

We are searching for someone with a knack for breaking down complex concepts and effective troubleshooting, who will quickly resolve issues related to employees’ software or hardware, and ensure that our teams are set up for continued success. You will work with the CFO to identify opportunities to improve management and operations of our internal systems. As a continuous learner, you will constantly stay abreast of changes related to Cardata systems and security, and bravely bring forth new ideas for improvements.

What you will do

  • Be the main point of contact for all Cardata employees and provide timely resolution to help desk related inquiries, requests, and problems.
  • Ensure the successful day-to-day operations of Cardata through proper monitoring and troubleshooting of all IT systems and software.
  • Manage all systems and access for organizational IT systems and software.
  • Serve as the main administrator for Google, and manage licenses and contracts for all IT systems and software.
  • Own the procurement of all equipment and maintain a centralized, up to date log of all hardware, both in the office and distributed.
  • Partner with the People and Culture team to manage the onboarding and offboarding of employees to Cardata systems (I.e. training, hardware procurement, and system set-up).
  • Partner with the Director of Engineering to implement and maintain IT security and controls to ensure that Cardata systems and information is secure and protected.
  • Oversee the SOC 2 compliance audit process and ensure adherence to controls throughout the year.
  • Identify and implement automations to reduce manual work and drive efficiencies.
  • Stay up to date on operational IT and security best practices.

What you will bring

  • 4-8 years’ experience supporting IT operations, preferably in a high-growth SaaS company
  • Experience procuring software and hardware for internal use, and managing vendor relationships to ensure a consistent supply of required equipment
  • Strong working knowledge of Google Suite, preferably with experience managing administration
  • High degree of skill in organization and time management, with an ability to manage multiple projects and requests simultaneously
  • High degree of adaptability and flexibility
  • Knowledge of IT systems and security best practices
  • Post-secondary education in Business, Information Systems, IT, or another related field

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in SOC and ISO certification process
  • Experience supporting systems migration
  • Experience working in a distributed/ remote first environment

Compensation:

In line with Ontario’s Pay Transparency legislation, the salary range for this role is $80,000 – $120,000 CAD annually, based on experience, skills, and alignment with the role requirements. This is a vacant position, and we are hiring with intention and seeking someone who will bring new perspective, contribute meaningfully to the team, and grow with the organization.

Why you’ll love working at Cardata:

We’ll be honest — Cardata isn’t for everyone. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, take extreme ownership, and constantly push yourself (and your work) to be the best, you’ll fit right in.

You’ll be surrounded by driven teammates who genuinely care — about the work, about our customers, and about helping each other succeed. Together, we take on ambitious goals and celebrate the wins along the way.

What we offer in return for you bringing your best:

  • Remote work and flexible working hours
  • Mentorship and development opportunities (to help you achieve your career goals!)
  • Extended medical & dental benefits
  • Healthcare spending account
  • $3,000 annual Health and Wellness Spending Account to support your overall wellbeing
  • Employee assistance program (EAP)
  • Flexible (Unlimited) Time Off: No annual cap on vacation, supported by a trust-based, flexible approach to time away.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
