Role Summary The Digital Workplace & Microsoft 365 Technical Expert will provide specialist Microsoft 365 technical expertise and advisory support, helping optimise the adoption, integration, governance and effective use of digital workplace technologies. The role combines technical M365 expertise, solution design, advisory, governance, user adoption, support and continuous improvement, with particular emphasis on Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Power Platform and emerging capabilities such as Microsoft Copilot. Digital Workplace and Microsoft… Digital Workplace and Microsoft… Key Responsibilities Microsoft 365 Strategy & Advisory • Provide technical input into Digital Workplace strategy, industry trends and best practices. • Identify opportunities to increase Microsoft 365 adoption, utilisation and business value. • Proactively identify opportunities from new and emerging Microsoft capabilities, including Microsoft Copilot. • Engage business teams to understand productivity challenges and recommend appropriate digital solutions. • Provide technical analysis and advisory support to projects involving Microsoft 365.Digital Workplace and Microsoft… Microsoft 365 Technical Management • Provide expert technical advice across Microsoft 365 applications and services. • Advise on accounts, access, permissions and identity-related requirements. • Monitor the Microsoft 365 Message Center and Microsoft 365 Roadmap, assess changes and identify required actions. • Provide M365 utilisation and service insights to support continuous improvement. • Manage and enhance the Microsoft Teams lifecycle, including creation, archiving and deletion of Teams workspaces. Digital Workplace and Microsoft. Solution Design & Power Platform • Design, configure and integrate approved Microsoft 365 collaboration and productivity solutions. • Design and develop prototypes and small-scale solutions using Microsoft 365 capabilities. • Provide expert-level SharePoint capability. • Develop and support solutions using Power Automate and Power Apps. • Coordinate with offshore development/support teams for PowerApps and related solutions. Digital Workplace and Microsoft Technical Support & Governance • Provide 2nd and 3rd level technical support for Microsoft 365 issues. • Perform technical analysis, resolution, documentation and escalation of ServiceNow tickets. • Support technical testing, stakeholder validation and solution rollouts. • Participate in architecture/change governance forums and prepare relevant technical submissions. • Develop technical documentation, solution handover materials and knowledge-transfer documentation. Digital Workplace and Microsoft… Requirements Essential Technical Expertise The candidate must demonstrate expert-level Microsoft 365 capability, including: • Microsoft Teams • SharePoint • OneDrive • Outlook • Word, Excel and PowerPoint • Forms • Lists • Planner • To Do • OneNote • Stream • Viva Engage • Whiteboard • Bookings • Visio • Microsoft 365 Identity and Services • Azure Active Directory / Microsoft Entra ID • Microsoft Copilot • Power Platform • Power Automate • Power Apps The TOR specifically identifies SharePoint and Power Platform expertise as essential, rather than simply general M365 familiarity. Digital Workplace and Microsoft… Required Experience Candidates should demonstrate: • Minimum 10 years' experience in Microsoft technologies and infrastructure. • Several years designing and delivering end-to-end enterprise-wide applications and services. • Strong Microsoft 365 technical architecture and administration experience. • Expert-level SharePoint and Power Platform experience. • Experience implementing organisation-wide change initiatives. • Experience partnering with business stakeholders on IT projects. • Experience establishing governance, operational and support procedures. • Experience managing product deployments and enterprise rollouts. • IT systems design experience, including functional specifications, logical data models,UI design and use cases. • Experience managing or coordinating outsourced development projects. • Ability to manage service vendors. • Strong business analysis, process-improvement and solution-design capability.
