Job description

This role is central to enabling the CRO and CFO in leading high-performing, purpose-driven function(s) that keeps the company running smoothly, efficiently, and in line with strategic objectives. As a trusted business partner, you’ll bring pace, challenge, and clarity helping shape the function, drive accountability, and ensure priorities stay on track. You’ll create the conditions for strategic focus by managing the detail, coordinating across teams, and keeping governance tight. If you're motivated by making a difference, thrive in dynamic environments, and want to help build something that matters this is a rare opportunity to do just that. Core Capabilities

  • Strategic Thinking & Planning: Demonstrated ability to contribute to and shape strategic plans, with a clear understanding of how to align functional objectives to wider business goals.
  • Change Leadership: Experience managing and supporting teams through change, with the ability to remain focused and effective in evolving environments.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusted relationships across all levels of the organisation and with external partners.

Technical & Professional Skills

  • Written Communication: Exceptional written communication skills, with the ability to distil complex information into clear, concise, and compelling reports and presentations.
  • Digital Fluency: Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), with the ability to produce high-quality documents, dashboards, and packs for senior audiences.
  • Risk & Governance Knowledge: Understanding and application of the risk management.

Experience & Working Style

  • Detail Orientation: High level of accuracy and attention to detail, particularly in reporting, financial oversight, and governance documentation.
  • Autonomous Working: Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of tasks, while also thriving in collaborative, cross-functional teams.
  • Resilience & Agility: Able to manage competing priorities and deliver under pressure, including to tight deadlines and in fast-paced environments.

Strategic Planning & Performance Monitoring

  • Refine function-level strategic plans aligned with the company’s broader objectives.
  • Track progress against strategic goals, producing regular performance reports and insights to inform decision-making.

Governance & Reporting

  • Coordinate and prepare high-quality reports, presentations, and updates for Governance Committees, Steering Groups, and other senior forums.

Financial Oversight & Efficiency

  • Monitor functional budgets and expenditure, identifying opportunities for cost optimisation and improved resource allocation.
  • Support financial planning cycles and contribute to business cases where required.

Operational & Team Support

  • Organise and facilitate team meetings, offsites, and workshops, including agenda setting and preparation of materials.
  • Support recruitment processes, including coordination with HR and hiring managers.
  • Assist with onboarding of new team members and third-party relationships, ensuring smooth integration and alignment with business standards.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong relationships across the business, acting as a key liaison between the function and internal/external stakeholders.
  • Represent the function in cross-functional initiatives and contribute to a collaborative working culture.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
