As a Network Reliability Engineer intern, you have the opportunity to design, build, and/or improve a range of software-defined network services. You will work closely under the guidance of a mentor to deliver a product that meet user requirements.
More About Network Reliability Engineer Intern Role
- Implement, operate and optimise modernised and virtualised network infrastructure to ensure scalable, sustainable and secure operations
- Implement architectural standards, reference models and guidelines that enhance security, resiliency and scalability
- Evaluate and implement network technologies that meet users’ needs and aligned with the industry development
- Provide network consultation to project teams for product deployment, working with various stakeholders to resolve technical problems and optimise network performance using data-driven insights and SRE practices
Broad Project Scope/Deliverables
- Design & build a proof-of-concept or prototype software-defined networking services that can be readily deployed
- Develop automation scripts to improve network provisioning and deprovisioning
- Enhance our network monitoring and alerting system
- Document the findings of various technologies explored, and presentation to management and users of your product
Prerequisites/Skills Required
- Experience with scripting languages like Python and experience with automation tools like Ansible
- Experience in cloud networking technologies such as network function virtualisation (NFV), network routing protocols and micro-segmentation
- Knowledge of open-source observability framework and monitoring and logging stack like ELK
- Self-motivated and eager to learn
