  • Administer relational databases including clustering, replication, backups, performance tuning, and disaster recovery processes.
  • Plan and execute ServiceNow family version upgrades, patching, and hotfixes directly on the self-hosted servers, ensuring zero data loss and minimal downtime.
  • Configure load balancers (e.g., F5, HAProxy), reverse proxies, and firewalls. Ensure system compliance with strict security frameworks (e.g., STIGs, RMF, PKI/CAC integrations).
  • Monitor node and database performance, troubleshoot latency bottlenecks, and scale server resources (CPU, RAM, Storage) to meet mission demands.
  • Assist designated system owners with maintaining operating status and documentation.
  • Coordinate with team working on AI Initiatives to support predictive operations, automated incident/case response, and intelligent service management.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent and relevant experience
  • 5+ years of IT Infrastructure experience, with at least 2+ years explicitly managing ServiceNow in a self-hosted/on-premises architecture.
  • Active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain SCI/CI poly
  • Successfully pass background and drug screening

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
  • Experience supporting enterprise IT modernization initiatives within federal or defense environments
  • Certifications: CompTIA Security+ (DoD 8570 compliance), Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate or Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA).
  • ServiceNow Specialties: Familiarity with ITOM (IT Operations Management) Discovery and MID Server configuration within restricted networks.
  • Experience supporting large-scale enterprise IT environments

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Advanced proficiency in system administration, scripting, and server virtualization in an AWS cloud environment.
  • Strong hands-on experience with MariaDB/MySQL database administration, including High Availability (HA) and replication configurations.

  • Ability to work independently and yet be effective within a team setting
  • Must be capable of managing multiple efforts with time-related constraints in a fast-paced contracting environment
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholder groups and individuals
  • Friendly presence, helpful attitude, good interpersonal skills, and ability to work well with others.
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Office applications
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications, and experience working in a home office setting as well as the ability to train end users on frequently asked technical issues.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
