Are you passionate about navigating food regulations and ensuring products reach the market with confidence? Join Newly Weds Foods as a Regulatory Specialist II, where you'll play a key role in labeling compliance, regulatory strategy, and supporting innovative food solutions for customers around the world.

As the Regulatory Specialist II, you will provide regulatory and technical information to internal and external customers for the products manufactured and sold by Newly Weds Foods, in accordance with government regulations and NWF Policies and Procedures.

This position is based at our headquarters in Bryn Mawr or our Erlanger, KY location and follows a hybrid schedule of four days onsite and one day remote per week.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assess and process customer requests for higher level technical documentation efficiently and accurately in accordance with NWF policies and current regulations. Technical information includes, but is not limited to, product specifications, allergen forms/questionnaires, formulas, religious or dietary certifications, customized response letters, maintenance of online portals, and customer questionnaires.
  • Support international regulatory compliance initiatives including export requirements, ingredient reviews, labeling compliance, and customer documentation for global markets.
  • Proficiently write compliant FDA ingredient statements, fully understand and apply USDA labeling regulations and be knowledgeable of retail food labeling regulation and guidance.
  • Support continuous improvement activities associated with technical information requests and department objectives; coordinate implementation with Regulatory Management.
  • Analyze work performed and report to upper management the emerging trends in requests, potential areas of improvement, or risk/impact of the inquiries with respect to NWF policy & procedure.
  • Review and document procedures as directed by Regulatory Management.
  • Provide training and presentations for NWF employees and customers as needed.
  • Read, analyze and interpret food-industry periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in food science or related discipline
  • 3+ years’ experience in Regulatory and/or Science related field
  • Working knowledge of FSMA regulations, preventive controls, allergen controls, GMPs, and related food regulatory requirements.
  • Strong analytical abilities, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Experience utilizing specification management systems and PLM platforms
  • Experience managing technical information and customer documentation through online portals and electronic systems

Compensation: $75,000 - $90,000
