Automotive General Service Technician / Mechanic

Job Overview:

We are looking for a General Service Technician / Mechanic who brings a positive attitude and a solution-oriented mindset to our team. Key Responsibilities:
As a General Service Technician, you will be the backbone of our shop's daily operations. Your primary duties will include:
- Routine Maintenance: Perform all general maintenance and repair services, including oil changes, tire rotations, battery replacements, and suspension alignments.
- Diagnostics & Inspection: Complete full, accurate, and honest courtesy vehicle inspections. Work closely with the service department to communicate the extent of any damage or malfunctions.
- Team Collaboration: Work alongside a team of skilled technicians to troubleshoot guest concerns quickly and effectively.
- Regulatory Compliance: Perform state-mandated vehicle emission and safety inspections. Comply with all federal, state, and local regulations (including OSHA right-to-know and hazardous waste disposal).
- Shop Excellence: Maintain our high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization, including housekeeping functions as directed by management.
Qualifications:
- A positive, energetic attitude and a strong work ethic.
- Basic automotive mechanical knowledge and a desire to learn and grow.
- Ability to effectively communicate mechanical issues to the service team.
- Commitment to workplace safety and regulatory compliance.
- Valid driver's license (preferred).

Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Current driver’s licenses
- This is an entry level position. We would prefer a high school or equivalent diploma, but this is not required.
Physical Requirements:
- Occasionally lift and/or move over 50 pounds
- Be able to work with tools on vehicles lifted above their head
- Work in tight spaces as dictated by the vehicle's needed repair
- Have the needed dexterity in order to efficiently use hand-tools
- Walk/stand for the majority of the workday
- Drive manual transmission vehicles
- Keeping a brisk work pace in a high-volume environment
- Efficiently navigate a computer
