The posting

As Commercial Product Specialist, you are the product and commercial expert in our Enterprise Sales motion. Working closely with Account Executives, you'll guide prospective customers through everything that happens before the contract is signed: understanding their needs, running tailored product demonstrations, building the commercial case, and shaping product-focused content for proposals and RFP/RFI responses.

This role is key to converting our largest, most complex prospects — dioceses, regional church bodies, and multi-parish organisations — by showing how ChurchDesk delivers value against their functional and commercial requirements. Once a deal is won, you'll partner with the Enterprise Project Manager and CSMs to ensure a clean handover into rollout.

You'll be part of the Enterprise team, reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer, with monthly 1:1s and weekly check-ins.

About your new role

  • Lead product discovery with prospects — understanding their current processes and workflows to identify where ChurchDesk creates the most value, not just what's on the wish list.
  • Design and deliver prospect-specific product demonstrations using their own terminology, structures, and use cases, showing exactly what daily life on ChurchDesk would look like.
  • Build and present the commercial case, connecting product capabilities to business value, ROI, and the prospect's priorities.
  • Own the product-related response to RFPs, RFIs, and proposals, working closely with the AE and pulling in technical specialists where deeper security/compliance detail is needed.
  • Secure buy-in from key decision-makers and stakeholders, positioning ChurchDesk as the best commercial and product fit for their needs.
  • Document product commitments, scope, and expectations, and hand over a clean, accurate picture to the Enterprise Project Manager and CSM — ensuring what was sold is what gets delivered.
  • Act as the prospect's trusted product advisor throughout the sales cycle, giving honest and accurate guidance even when it means surfacing limitations early.
  • Proven track record in a pre-sales, solutions consulting, or product specialist role, ideally with enterprise or complex B2B deals.
  • Strong discovery and consultative selling skills — able to uncover real business needs and connect them to product value, not just deliver a standard demo.
  • Hands-on experience building and delivering tailored product demos, with a commercial, value-led narrative.
  • Solid product and commercial acumen — comfortable structuring proposals, building the business case, and supporting pricing/packaging conversations.
  • Confident engaging directly with business and operational stakeholders, building credibility and trust.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills, with a high degree of integrity — able to translate findings into clear handovers and give honest answers, even when they surface limitations.
  • Fluent in German and English (spoken and written); based in or willing to relocate to Berlin for on-site work.

What We Offer

  • A role in a growing tech company where you can take on real responsibility, shape your own work, and learn a lot along the way.
  • Support to join relevant courses and webinars to build your technical and pre-sales skills with access to a dedicated Sales Coach.
  • Investing in your future – We contribute 20% toward your company pension scheme (betriebliche Altersvorsorge), because we're planning for the long run — with you.
  • 30 days of holiday – because rest matters.
  • A 37-hour working week – more balance, more time for yourself.
  • An open and honest feedback culture – growing together, learning from each other, communicating transparently.
  • A beautiful, modern office in the heart of Neukölln – central, vibrant, and well connected.
  • Fancy a change of scenery? Visit us in Copenhagen, Oslo, or Groningen – we cover your travel and accommodation so you can spend time with the team.
  • Unforgettable team experiences – from company events to trips to Croatia and Prague.

About ChurchDesk

At ChurchDesk, we believe that the church plays an important role in society. Our platform is used by thousands of congregations to organise their work, improve communication with members, reach more people, and unlock new ways of fundraising. Our customers are part of one of the largest and oldest institutions in the world: the Church. It is undergoing significant change to prepare for the future — and we are here to support that transformation. For churches across Europe, it is crucial to work more efficiently and stay connected to their members and communities.

ChurchDesk has been around for more than 15 years — evolving from a startup into an international company serving customers across Europe. And we’re just getting started!

We actively live our values in our daily work:

#challenge: We challenge ourselves — and our customers — to continuously improve. We work like a professional sports team: with ambition, discipline, and strong team spirit.

#dogoodbusiness: Doing good business is a marathon, not a sprint. It requires endurance, quality, and integrity — every single day.

#jointheride: The journey matters just as much as the destination. Be part of it, celebrate successes — and have fun! We value being together, especially in the office.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
