Who We Are CK Specialty is a privately owned wholesale insurance brokerage and MGA specializing in E&S insurance. We are a small, entrepreneurial team focused on growth and opportunity. We move quickly, take ownership, solve problems, and work together to get things done. Our environment is hands-on, collaborative, and always evolving. The Role We’re looking for a Production Manager who can produce, lead, and build. You’ll maintain a small personal book while primarily focusing on growing the Production team, developing producers, and driving new business. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys building relationships, creating opportunities, solving problems, and helping a team succeed. What You’ll Do Lead, coach, and develop the Production team. Maintain a small personal book and stay actively involved in production. Build and grow retail agency relationships and new business. Help producers grow their books and improve results. Set expectations, drive accountability, and address issues early. Work directly with leadership on production strategy and growth. Identify opportunities to improve how we work and help put those ideas into action. Recruit and develop production talent as we grow. Jump in wherever needed to support the team and get the job done. Requirements What We’re Looking For Commercial insurance experience with strong E&S/wholesale knowledge. Must be available to consistently work Pacific Time hours. Proven personal production and experience building a book of business. Strong retail agency and broker relationships. Experience leading and developing producers. Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong sense of ownership. Proactive, results-oriented, and comfortable making decisions. Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment. Adaptable and able to manage changing priorities. Someone who wants to win and wants the people around them to win. What Success Looks Like The Production team is growing, producers are getting better, new business is being created, and problems are being solved before they reach leadership. You’re producing yourself while making everyone around you better. This May Not Be a Good Fit If... You’re used to having multiple layers of support, approval, and resources around you. You prefer managing from a distance rather than being directly involved in the work. You’re more comfortable overseeing established processes than building, improving, and figuring things out as you go. You need every decision mapped out before taking action. You’re uncomfortable rolling up your sleeves, jumping into the details, or doing what the business needs in the moment. You prefer a predictable environment where your responsibilities stay within a clearly defined box. We’re looking for someone who wants to be in the middle of the action. Someone who can lead from the front, take ownership, and help build what comes next.
