ABOUT THE ROLE

Join an early-stage AI company as its first go-to-market hire, owning both prospecting and closing initial enterprise deals. This hands-on individual contributor role will help shape the sales motion through customer discovery, pilots, and close collaboration with the product team.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

- Identify promising buyer personas and market segments for the product.

- Build outbound campaigns from the ground up, including prospect lists, email sequences, and channel experiments.

- Test sales tactics, evaluate results, and focus effort on what generates pipeline.

- Source and close enterprise deals, defining success criteria with prospective customers.

- Run customer proofs of concept independently, from scoping through decision.

- Speak with users of the company's AI agents to understand workflows and needs.

- Share customer feedback and objections with the product team to inform priorities.

- Manage a sales budget and take ownership of pipeline and closing targets.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

- Experience in enterprise sales, with a record of personally sourcing and closing deals while exceeding quota.

- Ability to qualify prospects by quickly understanding their business models, financial metrics, and potential ROI.

- Experience independently running customer proofs of concept.

- Fluency with modern go-to-market tools and building custom sales workflows or automation.

- Strong writing and communication skills for technical and financial audiences.

- Resourcefulness in reaching decision-makers when standard outreach is ineffective, and comfort adapting based on results.

- Interest in AI agents and how they may change enterprise work; early-stage startup, founder, or competitive athletic experience is relevant.

- Individual contributor role suited to a self-directed, collaborative seller who enjoys solving new problems.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Base salary is $80,000 to $120,000 annually. Equity is offered. Visa sponsorship is available.

LOCATION

On-site five days a week in San Francisco, California.
