ABOUT THE ROLE
Join a small robotics engineering team building flexible robotic work cells for demanding industrial tasks such as surface finishing, welding, and coating. You will own the core robotics software stack, bringing planning, control, sensing, and real-world deployment together to automate complex work safely and reliably.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Own and develop the work cell's core robotics software stack.
- Develop and optimize motion planning, trajectory generation, and control for industrial robot arms.
- Integrate cameras, force and torque sensors, and other perception systems into real-time control loops.
- Implement industrial safety concepts and fail-safe behaviors.
- Lead on-site testing, calibration, and commissioning of robotic systems.
- Guide architecture decisions and establish sound engineering practices.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- At least 5 years of robotics engineering experience working with real robot hardware.
- Strong foundations in kinematics, motion planning, and control theory, with hands-on experience deploying systems in production environments.
- Experience with industrial or collaborative robot arms, end-of-arm tooling, and associated sensors.
- Experience integrating vision and force or torque sensors into real-time robot-control loops.
- Proficiency in C++ and/or Python, plus 3D CAD tools such as SolidWorks or CATIA.
- Fluent English; German is a plus. Experience in surface finishing, welding, coating, machine vision, 3D perception, EtherCAT, or OPC-UA is beneficial.
