About the role : As Senior Pre-Sales Engineer, you own the technical side of our pursuits, from first discovery call to signed SoW and handoff to delivery. You will be the Senior Engineer in the pre-sales team, shape CloudifyOps' cloud, DevOps and AI transformation offerings, and act as the trusted advisor to enterprise and startup clients. You sit between Sales, Delivery and Technology, and you are expected to turn customer problems into differentiated, AI-enabled solutions that can be delivered and priced with confidence. This is a hands-on leadership role. You will be in front of customers and in the architecture, while also building the assets, benchmarks and standard plays that let the whole team win more consistently. What will you do : Solutioning and architecture Design cloud infrastructure, DevOps and platform engineering solutions across AWS, Azure and GCP, and recommend the best-fit approach with clear trade-offs. Own end-to-end solutioning for RFIs and RFPs, including architecture, SoWs, effort estimates and cost models. Ensure solutions in every SoW follow best practice, match client requirements and are deliverable by our teams. AI transformation Shape and position our AI transformation offerings: agentic AI for cloud migration and modernization, AIOps and autonomous operations, AI-assisted DevOps/DevSecOps, and AgentOps governance. Run AI readiness and use-case discovery workshops with client CTO, CIO and engineering leaders, and translate them into prioritized roadmaps and PoCs. Define where AI delivers measurable value (planning, estimation, IaC generation, code refactoring, incident response) and where it does not, with clear guardrails for data security, governance and cost. Work with the CTO office and engineering teams to feed customer needs back into our AI platforms and accelerators. Customer engagement and PoCs Plan, build and deliver compelling PoCs and demos that show business value, including AI-powered migration, assessment and operations scenarios. Act as subject matter expert for end-to-end DevOps: configuration management, CI/CD, release engineering, provisioning and Day-2 automation. Build trust with customers through technical depth, strategic thinking and execution. Partner with Sales, Marketing and Alliances to build winning proposals, standard plays, upsell and cross-sell motions, and new service offerings that build pipeline. Build and maintain a repository of reusable pre-sales assets, pricing and effort benchmarks, and standard tools and processes. Work with Delivery for a smooth handoff and technical oversight after the deal closes. Identify trends, risks and issues that need escalation, and operate within defined SOPs. Requirements : 8–12 years of overall experience, with at least 5 years in pre-sales, solution architecture or technical consulting for cloud and DevOps. Prior experience leading or mentoring a team. Hands-on depth in AWS, Azure and GCP, including designing application and infrastructure architectures and hybrid/multi-cloud strategies. Proven experience migrating and modernizing workloads to cloud, including assessment, wave planning, containerization and Kubernetes. Strong DevOps background: CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), GitOps, observability and DevSecOps. Experience with cloud cost calculators and building accurate cost, effort and TCO estimates. Working knowledge of AI and agentic AI applied to engineering and operations (LLMs, agent frameworks, AIOps), and the ability to explain it credibly to executives and engineers. Track record of owning RFIs/RFPs, SoWs and PoCs, and of working closely with Sales on winning deals. Excellent presentation, communication and stakeholder management skills, from CXO briefings to technical deep dives. Good to Have Certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Professional Cloud Architect, CKA/CKAD or Terraform Associate. Hands-on exposure to LangChain, LangGraph or similar agent frameworks, and to LLM observability and prompt management. Experience with FinOps, platform engineering and managed services (SRE, 24×7 operations) pre-sales. Experience building service offerings, partner plays or productized accelerators.
