Role

Candidates will ideally have experience in due diligence, ESG and Human Rights, disputes and litigation support, political risk and/or investigative journalism. We would also be interested in hearing from candidates with other backgrounds looking for a change of career. The position offered will depend on the candidates prior experience in a field relevant to the role. Fluency in at least one key regional language is a requirement for this role. • Candidates should have a strong knowledge of the regions business and political environments, as well as an innate sense of curiosity about international affairs, public policy and global markets more generally.

Responsibilities

  • The exact responsibilities will vary depending on the role offered. However, we broadly look for the below skills when considering applicants for all our positions:
  • Manage complex open source and human intelligence-led investigative assignments (including pre-transactional integrity due diligence checks and other bespoke investigations);
  • Write concise and cogent reports that weave in research findings with an in-depth contextualized analysis of key issues and other pertinent findings.
  • Deliver written and verbal briefings to senior management and clients on research findings.
  • Prepare proposals for new business.
  • Support the development of company Intelligences human source network in Asia; and
  • Once comfortable with company Business Intelligences house style and research methodologies, assist in training new team members and proofreading reports.

Qualifications:

  • Fluency reading and writing English in a commercial context and at least one key regional language - we are particularly interested in Mandarin or Korean.
  • 1-6 years full-time post-graduate work experience in the corporate intelligence industry and/or another relevant investigative background.
  • Experience using open-source research tools such as LexisNexis and Factiva, as well as regional and language-specific databases and media sources.
  • Ability to plan and manage multifaceted research projects from the proposal stage to delivering our work to the client.
  • A working knowledge of financial, commercial and legal concepts.
  • A bachelors degree in a relevant field from an accredited university; and

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
