The posting

Company Introduction

Codebase builds exceptional software teams for clients across. We take on our clients' biggest engineering risks — speed, quality, and the cost of hiring the wrong people — and solve them with vetted engineering talent and a custom agile process. Codebase is a great place to work at. The culture is transparent and every employee, irrespective of their position, is given a chance to be heard.

We are looking for a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist who can own hiring end to end across two very different worlds: technology roles (MERN, React Native, QA Automation, .NET, Python) and non-tech roles (Marketing and Business Development). You will not sit behind a job board waiting for applications — you will hunt, build talent pipelines, and represent the Codebase brand in Pune's tech community, including attending and organizing developer meetups.

This is a hands-on individual contributor role with high visibility. You will work directly with our Technical Managers, Sales leadership, and the founders.

Key Responsibilities:

IT / Technology Hiring

  • Own full-cycle recruitment for engineering roles — MERN (MongoDB, Express, React, Node.js), React Native, Full-Stack, QA Automation (Java + Selenium, Playwright, Mobile), .NET, and Python.
  • Build and refine Boolean search strings on Naukri Resdex, LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, and niche communities to source passive candidates.
  • Run first-level technical screening — assess project depth, tech stack fit, and communication before scheduling technical rounds.
  • Coordinate technical interview panels with internal Technical Managers and external Interview-as-a-Service (IaaS) partners; keep turnaround tight.
  • Maintain a live pipeline dashboard: sourced, screened, in-process, offered, joined — with drop-off reasons.

Non-Tech Hiring (Marketing & Business Development)

  • Own hiring for Marketing (B2B, demand generation, content) and Business Development / IT Services Sales roles, including senior mandates.
  • Assess non-tech candidates on quota history, pipeline ownership, ICP understanding, and outbound experience — not just years on paper.
  • Partner with Sales and Marketing leadership to build role scorecards and calibrate on what "good" looks like before sourcing begins.

Employer Branding & Community (Meetups)

  • Represent Codebase at IT and developer meetups, tech conferences, and community events in Pune.
  • Plan and organize Codebase-hosted meetups — pick the theme, invite speakers, manage the Meetup.com page and RSVPs, run the event, and convert attendees into pipeline.
  • Build and maintain a talent community from event attendees, referrals, and silver-medalist candidates.
  • Contribute to the Codebase careers brand — job posts, LinkedIn presence, and candidate experience.

Requirements:

  • 3–6 years of end-to-end recruitment experience, with at least 2 years hiring for IT / software engineering roles.
  • Hands-on MERN stack hiring experience — you can tell a real Node.js backend engineer from a resume-keyword match, and you understand React, REST APIs, MongoDB, and cloud basics well enough to hold a credible screening conversation.
  • Demonstrated experience hiring for at least one additional area beyond your core stack (React Native, QA Automation, .NET, Python, or Data).
  • Proven non-tech hiring experience in Marketing and/or Business Development / Sales roles.
  • Strong sourcing skills — Boolean search on Naukri Resdex and LinkedIn is a core, daily skill, not an occasional one.
  • Must have attended IT / developer meetups or tech community events, and be willing and able to organize them for Codebase (e.g. Meetup.com-style events, tech talks, hiring meetups). Please mention the communities or events you have been part of in your application.
  • Working knowledge of Indian compensation structures and offer negotiation.
  • Comfortable with an ATS and disciplined about data hygiene.
  • Excellent written and spoken English; confident talking to senior engineers and senior sales leaders alike.
  • Based in Pune or willing to relocate — this is a work-from-office role in Baner.

Nice to have:

  • Experience in an IT services, staffing, or product-engineering-services company (offshore / staff-augmentation model).
  • Exposure to US-client-facing hiring or global delivery teams.
  • Experience with Breezy HR or a comparable ATS.
  • Experience running structured interview processes — scorecards, rating trackers, calibration.
  • Existing network in the Pune tech ecosystem.

Soft Skills

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proactive and eager to learn new technologies.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.
