Comfort Keepers is looking for dependable, compassionate caregivers who want to make everyday life safer and more comfortable for others.
Starting pay is $18 per hour, while Certified Nursing Assistants start at $20 per hour. After five months of employment, employees are eligible for free CNA classes through Scrubs Academy.
What a Typical Shift May Include
No two days are exactly alike. During a shift, you may prepare a favorite meal, help a client get ready for the day, complete a few household tasks, or simply spend time talking and providing companionship.
You may also:
- Support personal needs such as bathing, dressing, grooming, hygiene, and incontinence care
- Help clients move safely, including using transfer tools or equipment
- Provide medication assistance
- Offer specialized support to clients with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease
- Keep the home comfortable by cleaning, dusting, mopping, vacuuming, changing linens, doing laundry, and removing garbage
- Stay in contact with the Client Care Coordinator
- Electronically document the services and care completed during each shift
Is This Position Right for You?
This opportunity may be a good fit if you have caregiving experience, value one-on-one relationships, and understand the importance of reliability and professional boundaries.
Applicants must be at least 21 years old and have a high school diploma or GED. Every-other-weekend and holiday availability is required.
Because this position involves traveling to clients’ homes, you must also have:
- Reliable personal transportation
- A valid driver’s license, at least three years of driving experience
- Current auto insurance
- A clean driving record
- Comfort with driving as part of your workday
- The ability to pass DHS and driving-record background checks
