Commercial/Industrial HVAC Journeyman Installer

As a Journeyman HVAC Installer in the commercial/industrial construction group you will be participate in all aspects of the installation process.

Job functions and duties (other duties may be assigned)

General areas of performance:

Follow blueprints or engineering specifications to mount and assemble units.

Install and direct installation of ductwork and HVAC equipment

Directing/managing Laborers and Apprentices

Order Materials

Job Coordination Meetings

Train and mentor Apprentices

Must show competency in:

Vendor relations

Managing a purchase order log

Understanding of Foreman duties as it pertains the labor and cost management of a job

Qualifications

Education and Experience

High School Diploma or GED equivalent

4+ years HVAC install experience (industrial/commercial preferred)

Language Skills

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

Ability to write simple correspondence.

Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

Ability to compute rates, ratios and percentages.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.

Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Valid driver's license

Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as required.

Regular travel requirements with some overnight travel.
