Resumen

The Analyst, Logistics Systems Configuration is responsible for supporting the configuration, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of the Transportation Management System (TMS), Shipment Visibility, Yard Management Systems (YMS), and Appointment Scheduling tools to streamline transportation processes across the integrated supply chain. Working as a system superuser and operational support resource, this role maintains master data, carriers, rates, and routes to align with business requirements while supporting timely and accurate shipment visibility. Covering multiple sourcing categories (can, ingredients, packaging, crowns, glass, reverse logistics, and finished goods) across all modes of transportation, the role contributes to the company’s logistics systems journey by adopting new technologies, methods, and processes. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable coordinating with carriers, logistics service providers, IT, and internal business partners to resolve system and data issues.

  • Build and maintain automations for logistics systems tools using low-code and AI-assisted tools. This includes writing automated functional and regression tests in Playwright with GitHub Copilot to check SAP TM, Shipment Visibility and Appointment Scheduling, and creating Google Apps Script and Power Automate flows to remove repetitive manual tasks such as data extracts, notifications, report distribution and file uploads. Document requirements and business rules for each automation, test it before use, monitor runs and fix or escalate errors, and keep scripts, flows and procedures documented in the team repository and knowledge base so others can maintain them. Perform record/data audit functions to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Maintain database(s) of logistics information, ensuring data quality and completeness.

Shipment Visibility & Systems Support

  • Support the implementation and ongoing management of logistics systems platforms to streamline transportation processes.
  • Troubleshoot issues with data flow in TMS/SAP, WMS, YMS, Ortec, or other digital systems by identifying where the data failed, logging and prioritizing tickets by business impact, and escalating to IT, SAP consultants, the EDI team or external partners. Follow up on the corrective actions until closure, test fixes before they reach production, confirm with business users that the problem is resolved, and record root causes and fixes in the team knowledge base. Communicate with Shipment Visibility support teams and carrier GPS providers to guarantee successful onboarding and connection and implement solutions for shipment visibility and appointment scheduling issues with carriers.

Data Analysis & Performance

  • Collect, interpret, and analyze logistics data (product availability, transport and delivery reliability, sourcing and distribution) supporting the ~$1B logistics budget, and track product flow from origin to delivery via logistics systems.
  • Track logistics KPIs and prepare performance reporting, including transit-time variance, shipment plan adherence, shipment visibility coverage, and cost per case, to support continuous process improvement and high-quality service.

Cross-Functional Coordination & Training

  • Work closely with IT and the business to deliver on CBI’s logistics systems journey
  • Prepare and deliver training for internal and external users (such as plant and transportation teams, carriers and warehouses) of TMS, Shipment Visibility and Appointment Scheduling tools. This includes building training materials, step-by-step guides and quick reference documents, running hands-on sessions for new users, system changes or onboarding, and keeping attendance records. It also includes answering follow-up questions and gathering user feedback to update the materials and spot recurring issues.Communicate proactively with internal and external stakeholders to support issue resolution, status updates, and system adoption.

Role-Specific Responsibilities: (≈20%)

  • Document and analyze logistics processes and procedures (such as load planning, carrier tendering, appointment scheduling and freight settlement) using process maps and operational data (cost per case, on-time delivery, tender acceptance, detention hours) to find inefficiencies. Recommend improvements with their expected benefit and effort and, once approved, support their implementation through updated procedures, system configuration requests, user testing and training, to maximize delivery efficiency while minimizing costs. Monitor, log, and resolve operational incidents and exceptions (detentions, deviations, accidents, material damage, thefts, and production changes) by notifying plants, carriers and Security or Risk teams, and helping carry out other options such as reassigning loads, changing appointments or switching carriers to avoid disruptions to production schedules. Gather supporting documents for claims, check accessorial charges for rail car and truck shipments against contracts, dispute invalid charges and report recurring patterns by carrier, lane or facility. Participate in the planning, execution, and tracking of Logistics financial performance, and analyze the executability of the optimized network distribution design to provide operational insight.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
