Role Purpose

The Digital Content Engineer transforms instructional concepts into visually compelling, technically reliable, and scalable digital learning experiences. The role combines modern design practices, multimedia production, and learning technologies to deliver consistent, engaging educational products across formats and platforms.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Create and assemble digital learning assets, including graphics, illustrations, animation, audio, video, presentations, assessments, and interactive elements.
  • Translate storyboards, scripts, and design specifications into polished digital learning products and clarify incomplete production requirements with instructional designers.
  • Apply modern visual design, UX, usability, branding, and learner-centred design principles.
  • Develop reusable templates, layouts, components, and asset libraries to improve production consistency and efficiency.
  • Conduct initial quality checks, troubleshoot production issues, and ensure content functions correctly across supported platforms and LMS environments.
  • Use AI-supported tools for multimedia creation, adaptation, and production while maintaining accuracy, consistency, and production while maintaining accuracy, consistency, and quality.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • At least 3 years of experience in digital content creation, multimedia production, graphic design, or e-learning development.
  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Digital Media, Information Technology, STEM, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience with Adobe Illustrator or comparable design software, plus familiarity with tools such as Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects, or similar applications.
  • Experience with video and AI-supported production tools such as Colossyan, Synthesia, VEED, ChatGPT, Gemini, ElevenLabs, Murf, NotebookLM, Wonda, or similar tools.
  • Experience with e-learning authoring tools, learning management systems, and production from storyboards or design specifications.
  • A portfolio demonstrating digital design, multimedia, or educational content production.
  • Strong understanding of modern visual design, including typography, composition, layout, branding, colour, and visual hierarchy.
  • Ability to apply UX, usability, and learner-centred design principles to digital learning products.
  • Practical skills across graphic design, illustration, animation, video, and audio production.
  • Ability to select and use appropriate production and AI tools while preserving content quality.
  • Creative problem-solving, technical troubleshooting, and effective cross-functional collaboration.
  • Meticulous attention to visual consistency, technical accuracy, and detail.
  • Fluent English (written and spoken).

Nice to Have (Not Obligatory):

  • Experience producing content for EdTech, corporate learning, online education, or technical training.
  • Experience creating reusable templates, component libraries, or structured visual systems.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, or JavaScript for minor adjustments and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with accessibility requirements and cross-device digital content production.
