The role supports both day-to-day maintenance activities and long-term reliability initiatives that enable the Area Business Team to meet business requirements safely and effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations utilizing cause-and-effect methodologies to identify and eliminate recurring equipment failures.
  • Provide technical expertise to operations and maintenance personnel for troubleshooting equipment failures, repair methods, maintenance practices, and equipment performance improvement.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve maintenance and reliability strategies that optimize safety, availability, reliability, and total cost of ownership.
  • Create, update, and maintain repair procedures, work instructions, maintenance standards, and job plans to ensure repairs are completed safely, consistently, and accurately.
  • Ensure critical repair details including tolerances, clearances, materials of construction, welding requirements, inspection criteria, and quality standards are defined and documented.
  • Utilize reliability engineering tools and methodologies such as Weibull Analysis, FMEA, RCA, and reliability-centered maintenance techniques to improve asset performance and capability.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report asset performance metrics including availability, utilization, OEE, production losses, and other reliability indicators to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Develop strategic asset improvement plans including outage strategies, turnaround planning, rebuild frequencies, inline spares, critical spare strategies, and long-term reliability initiatives.
  • Establish, review, and optimize preventive, predictive, and planned maintenance programs to support equipment reliability objectives.
  • Provide technical support during major maintenance outages, turnarounds, equipment rebuilds, and capital improvement projects.
  • Collaborate with equipment vendors, contractors, and engineering resources to perform failure analyses, obtain technical recommendations, and evaluate replacement or upgrade options.
  • Support vessel inspections, repair plans, alterations, and other equipment integrity activities in accordance with applicable standards and site requirements.
  • Evaluate corrective actions to ensure improvements deliver measurable reliability and availability benefits and leverage successful solutions across the site where appropriate.
  • Review and maintain Bills of Material (BOMs), equipment records, and spare parts inventories to ensure accuracy and adequate support for reliability objectives.
  • Apply reliability and lifecycle cost principles to spare parts selection, inventory optimization, purchasing requirements, and equipment replacement decisions.
  • Ensure equipment-specific training materials, maintenance procedures, and technical documentation are developed, maintained, and readily available.
  • Serve as a technical resource for Maintenance Planners, Maintenance Technicians, Operations personnel, and Area Business Teams.
  • Participate in plant health assessments and implement reliability improvement actions to maintain and improve overall asset health.
  • Support maintenance budgeting, capital planning, and reliability improvement initiatives aligned with business objectives.
  • Provide maintenance and reliability input to CorePD, capital projects, and new equipment installations to ensure reliability is designed into systems from inception.
  • Participate in site and corporate reliability networks and share best practices across the organization.

Attributes

  • Strong communicator capable of effectively working with personnel at all levels of the organization, from operators and maintenance technicians to senior leadership.
  • Well-organized with strong attention to detail.

  • Knowledge of Reliability Engineering principles including RCA, FMEA, Weibull Analysis, and risk-based decision making.
  • SAP Equipment Maintenance experience, including maintenance transactions, equipment records, and planning functions.
  • Spare parts identification, optimization, and inventory management experience.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
