The posting

The National is hiring for a Bartender. You should join our team if you believe...

That a great bar experience is about more than a well-made drink—it is about making guests feel welcomed, remembered, and cared for. That thoughtful beverage knowledge allows you to create personalized experiences and meaningful connections with guests. That great cocktails are built on quality ingredients, balance, technique, and attention to detail. That hospitality means staying attentive and engaged even during the busiest service periods. Welcoming guests promptly and creating a friendly, engaging atmosphere from the moment they approach the bar. Presenting beverage menus, answering questions, and making thoughtful recommendations based on guest preferences. Preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and service standards. Creating classic and contemporary cocktails with a strong understanding of flavor balance, ingredients, technique, and presentation. Demonstrating knowledge of spirits, wine, beer, garnishes, pricing, and beverage selections. Providing wine service when needed and confidently recommending food and beverage pairings. Taking beverage orders accurately and entering them promptly into the POS system. Communicating allergies and dietary restrictions clearly and accurately on guest tickets. Taking tables in the bar or dining room when assigned by Management. Checking in with guests throughout their experience to ensure they are satisfied with their food and beverages. Learning the names and preferences of regular guests and making them feel genuinely recognized and welcomed. Processing guest payments, credit card transactions, and change accurately. Keeping bottles, glassware, tools, and bar supplies organized, stocked, and ready for service. Maintaining a clean and polished bar, including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves, storage areas, and other service spaces. Assisting with inventory restocking and replenishment of bar supplies. Communicating equipment or maintenance concerns to Management promptly. Maintaining open communication with FoH, BoH, and Hotel Curators to ensure seamless service. Thanking every guest sincerely and creating a warm, memorable farewell.

We’re excited to have you join us because...

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
