You’re a great fit for this role if you love... · Preparing and cooking menu items according to established recipes, standards, and presentation guidelines. · Working efficiently on the line during breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special events while maintaining quality and consistency. · Setting up, stocking, and maintaining assigned stations with the tools, ingredients, and supplies needed for service. · Ensuring all food is prepared, cooked, and served according to health, safety, and sanitation standards. · Assisting with food preparation, portioning, labeling, storage, and rotation to maintain freshness and minimize waste. · Communicating clearly with fellow kitchen team members, servers, bartenders, and leadership throughout service. · Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times. · Supporting fellow team members during busy service periods and jumping in wherever needed to ensure a smooth guest experience. · Taking pride in the details, from proper cooking temperatures and seasoning to presentation and plate execution. Education and Experience · Previous line cook, prep cook, restaurant, or culinary experience preferred. · Hotel, resort, hospitality, restaurant, or food service experience preferred. · Basic knowledge of cooking techniques, food preparation, food handling, and kitchen equipment. · Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations. · Ability to follow recipes, preparation guidelines, and presentation standards. · Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. · Ability to communicate clearly with team members, leaders, and other departments. · Strong organizational and time-management skills. · Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities during busy service periods. · Ability to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events based on business needs. · Food Handler Certification preferred or ability to obtain certification as required. · Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills preferred, but not required. Work Environment and Physical Requirements · Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift. · Ability to bend, reach, kneel, stoop, lift, push, pull, and move throughout the kitchen environment. · Ability to lift, carry, and transport food products, kitchen equipment, and supplies, typically up to 50 pounds. · Ability to safely operate kitchen equipment including ovens, grills, fryers, slicers, mixers, and knives. · Ability to work in hot, cold, wet, and fast-paced kitchen conditions. · Ability to maintain professionalism, focus, and attention to detail during high-volume service periods.
