You’re a great fit for this role if you love... · Developing and executing marketing strategies that increase brand awareness, drive revenue, and support occupancy goals. · Managing social media platforms, digital marketing campaigns, website content, and online reputation efforts. · Creating engaging content, including photography, video, blogs, email campaigns, and promotional materials. · Building relationships with media partners, influencers, tourism organizations, community groups, and local businesses. · Planning and promoting resort events, special offers, seasonal campaigns, and guest experiences. · Analyzing marketing performance, tracking campaign results, and identifying opportunities for growth and improvement. · Collaborating with Sales, Revenue Management, Operations, and Leadership teams to support business objectives and revenue strategies. · Managing marketing budgets, vendor relationships, advertising initiatives, and creative projects. · Staying current on hospitality trends, digital marketing best practices, and emerging opportunities to elevate the brand. · Bringing fresh ideas, creative energy, and strategic thinking to help Plunge Beach Resort stand out in a competitive market. Education and Experience · Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Public Relations, Hospitality Management, or a related field preferred. · 2–4 years of experience in Communications, Marketing, Business, Public Relations, Hospitality, or a related field required. · Hospitality, resort, hotel, tourism, or lifestyle brand marketing experience preferred. · 1–2 years of paid advertising experience preferred. · 1–2 years of experience working with external partners, vendors, agencies, influencers, media contacts, or community organizations preferred. · Previous experience managing business social media profiles required. · Strong knowledge of online marketing and a solid understanding of major digital marketing channels. · Experience managing social media platforms and tools, including Facebook Business Manager and other social media management dashboards. · Strong understanding of social media KPIs, analytics, reporting, and their application to overall marketing strategy. · Demonstrated knowledge of social media platforms relevant to the hospitality industry, including Facebook, Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), LinkedIn, Pinterest, YouTube, TikTok, and emerging platforms. · Computer literate and proficient with Microsoft Office applications, Outlook, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, and other marketing and design tools. · Creative eye for capturing high-quality photography and video content, with the ability to perform basic photo and video editing. · Excellent written, verbal, visual, and interpersonal communication skills. · Ability to communicate information, ideas, and brand messaging effectively through written, verbal, and visual formats. · Strong organizational, project management, multitasking, and time-management skills. · Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, and professionalism while adapting quickly to new tools and technologies. · Demonstrated ability to take ideas from concept through execution while following direction and meeting deadlines. · Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively, while confidently leading content development, content creation, content editing, online reputation management, and on-property marketing activations. · Ability to naturally promote brand advocacy through relationship-building both online and offline. · Demonstrated commitment to delivering exceptional social customer service through empathy, professionalism, sound judgment, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and guest advocacy. · Ability to maintain professional personal social media profiles that reflect positively on the brand and organization. · Previous experience working with creative agencies, media partners, vendors, photographers, and content creators preferred. · Previous public relations experience preferred. · Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events based on business needs. · Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills preferred, but not required. Work Environment and Physical Requirements · Ability to work in a professional office environment as well as throughout the resort property. · Ability to attend meetings, events, photo shoots, community functions, and promotional activities both on and off property. · Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, and move throughout the resort as needed. · Ability to use computers, mobile devices, cameras, and other marketing-related technology. · Ability to occasionally lift, carry, and transport marketing materials, signage, displays, and event supplies. · Ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment while maintaining professionalism, creativity, and attention to detail. · Ability to work flexible schedule including some weekends and holidays as needed.
