The posting

Hilton Garden Inn Tampa Ybor Historic District is hiring for a Restaurant Server. You should join our team if you believe...

That memorable hospitality can begin with a warm welcome and a thoughtfully served meal. That great restaurant service is about more than taking orders—it is about creating genuine connections. That every guest deserves attentive, friendly, and personalized service. That details matter, from accurate orders and thoughtful recommendations to presentation, timing, and follow-through. That teamwork between Servers, Hosts, Bartenders, Culinary Curators, Front Office, and leadership keeps service running smoothly. That even the busiest dining period can be handled with professionalism, patience, and a little personality. That every table is an opportunity to create an unmatched moment.

You’re a great fit for this role if you love...

Welcoming guests warmly and helping them feel comfortable throughout their dining experience. Learning the menu and confidently explaining ingredients, preparation methods, and available options. Taking food and beverage orders accurately and entering them promptly into the point-of-sale system. Making thoughtful recommendations based on guest preferences. Serving food, cocktails, beer, wine, and alcohol-free beverages according to established standards. Monitoring tables and anticipating guest needs without making them feel rushed. Checking orders for accuracy, quality, presentation, and proper temperature before serving them. Following established procedures for allergies, dietary requests, and responsible alcohol service. Processing cash, credit-card, room-charge, and other payment transactions accurately. Communicating clearly with Culinary Curators, Bartenders, Hosts, and leaders regarding orders and guest needs. Keeping tables, service stations, dining areas, and guest-facing spaces clean and organized. Completing opening, closing, and side-work responsibilities thoroughly. Assisting with room-service, banquet, or other Food & Beverage needs when requested. Sharing helpful information about the hotel, Ybor City, and the surrounding Tampa area. Remaining calm and gracious when several tables need attention at once and every guest suddenly remembers one more thing they need. Thanking guests sincerely and inviting them to return.

We’re excited to have you join us because...

You understand that restaurant service is an important part of the overall hotel experience. You are friendly, approachable, and comfortable connecting with guests from different backgrounds. You can balance warm hospitality with speed, accuracy, and attention to detail. You remain composed and solutions-focused during high-volume service. You communicate clearly and professionally with guests, Curators, and leaders. You are comfortable learning menus, recipes, hotel systems, and point-of-sale technology. You understand the importance of food safety, sanitation, responsible alcohol service, and accurate payment handling. You can manage multiple tables and priorities without sacrificing service quality. You are dependable, organized, and ready to support the team throughout your shift. You believe a great meal is remembered not only for the food, but also for how the guest felt while being served.

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous restaurant, food-service, customer-service, or hospitality experience preferred. Hotel, full-service restaurant, or upscale dining experience is a plus. Hilton or Hilton Garden Inn brand experience preferred. Strong verbal communication and guest-service skills. Ability to understand and follow allergy and dietary-request procedures. Food-handler and alcohol-service certifications required or must be obtained within the timeframe established by the hotel and applicable law. Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a restaurant team. Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
