Job Summary
The Practice Management (PM) Coordinator collaborates closely with PM Support Team colleagues, other PM team personnel as well as colleagues in other departments to support PM initiatives across Practice Groups and/or Departments. This role is integral to the timely and excellent execution of operational PM tasks and to the provision of task-based support in relation to the advancement of strategic priorities for the PM team as defined by leadership.
Job Responsibilities
Executes on supervisor-defined priorities to implement practice group and/or Department strategic initiatives and support operations, such as (but not limited to):
- Prepares monthly reporting materials, including utilization/availability reporting and related operational data; assists with one-off analysis.
- Coordinates logistics for practice group and/or Department meetings, including drafting agendas, scheduling, issuing of calendar appointments, and similar tasks.
- Assists with on-boarding of new attorneys and with the management of attorney employee-life-cycle related tasks such as updating internal materials and distribution lists.
- Maintains practice group and/or Department intranet site, PM intranet site and repository of relevant practice management information and documentation including tracking delivery of tasks and projects as needed.
- Monitors time-keeping compliance and highlights issues and trends to relevant PM team members.
- Supports supervisor(s) to develop and monitor practice group expense and revenue budgets.
- Assists with the annual attorney evaluation process and the annual cycle of summer and fall associates.
- Assists with coordinating and disseminating recurring operational communications, reporting, and practice group updates across Practice Management team/groups, as needed.
- Executes on supervisor-defined ad hoc and special projects.

- Ability to plan, track, manage and deliver on tasks and projects to deadlines, taking ownership and responsibility for assigned tasks and being proactive and thoughtful in suggesting enhancements to processes and procedures.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work in a dynamic and complex environment to meet deadlines and daily requirements, including providing coverage and support for others on the PM Support team.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing, with attorneys, staff and vendors.
- Ability to quickly learn and utilize technology tools and resources.
- Ability to build and leverage relationships within and outside of the PM team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, PowerBI and the ability to quickly and efficiently learn new technologies, including but not limited to tools utilizing artificial intelligence.
Education
The position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
Experience
The position requires a minimum of one (1) to three (3) years of increasingly responsible, directly related experience. Experience in a law firm or professional services environment essential.
