About the role

Crunchyroll is looking for a Director, Integrated Partnerships & Promotions — Growth Campaigns to lead global partnerships, promotions, and major growth campaigns across markets.

Reporting to the SVP of Growth & Planning, you’ll lead tentpole moments like Ani-May and Black Friday, develop strategic partner and promotional opportunities, and bring together teams across Growth Marketing, Brand, Creative, Content, Product, Media, Analytics, Commercial, and our regions to drive fan and business growth.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can move between strategy and execution — shaping the promotional roadmap, building strong partner propositions, leading complex campaigns, and creating scalable ways of working across markets.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the global partnerships and promotions strategy for major growth campaigns, including Ani-May, Black Friday, and other priority moments.
  • Translate growth, audience, commercial, and brand goals into clear campaign strategies, partner opportunities, offers, channel plans, and success metrics.
  • Identify and develop opportunities with strategic partners, platforms, retailers, media owners, affiliates, and other distribution channels.
  • Own major campaigns from strategy and concept through launch, optimization, and post-campaign learning.
  • Lead execution across Growth Marketing, Brand, Creative, Content, Product, CRM, Media, Social, Analytics, Commercial, Legal, Finance, and regional teams.
  • Develop partner propositions, activation plans, and promotional offers that create value for fans and drive business results.
  • Build campaign frameworks and playbooks that can scale globally while allowing for strong local execution.
  • Lead the approach to app store and platform growth assets across major campaigns, launches, and promotional moments.
  • Use performance data and experimentation to improve campaigns, offers, creative, partner channels, and promotional mechanics.
  • Build and lead a high-performing team and improve how we work through clearer processes, tools, automation, and planning.

We are considering applicants available to work a hybrid schedule, with three days each week onsite at our Dallas office.

About You

  • 12+ years in growth marketing, integrated marketing, partnerships, or promotions, including significant experience in a direct-to-consumer (DTC) business.
  • A track record of leading large-scale growth and promotional campaigns across multiple markets and channels, with clear results across acquisition, engagement, retention, or revenue.
  • Strong background building and activating strategic partnerships, promotions, consumer offers, or platform marketing programs that drive growth.
  • Hands-on knowledge of app store merchandising and creative, mobile growth, in-app events, or platform marketing.
  • Ability to work across global and regional teams to bring complex campaigns to market, connecting brand, creative, partnerships, and growth.
  • A track record of building or improving how campaigns get done at scale, from planning and resourcing through production, launch, and post-campaign review.
  • Experience managing external partners, agencies, vendors, and budgets.
  • Strong business and analytical judgment, with the ability to use data to make decisions and adjust as needed.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to influence senior leaders, external partners, and teams across the business.
  • Background in streaming, entertainment, gaming, subscription, ecommerce, technology, or another large digital consumer business.
  • Familiarity with automation, experimentation, AI, or emerging marketing technology to improve scale, efficiency, or the customer experience is strongly preferred.
  • Passion for anime or fandom-driven entertainment is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
