Als Treinbegeleider in Essen ben je het gezicht aan boord en zorg je ervoor dat reizigers veilig, vlot en correct van vertrek tot aankomst worden begeleid. Je combineert klantgericht contact met duidelijke communicatie en een sterke aandacht voor veiligheid en stiptheid.

In deze functie werk je in een omgeving met variërende shiften en veel afwisseling. Je bent zichtbaar aanwezig voor reizigers, je beantwoordt vragen in het Nederlands en Frans, en je ondersteunt waar nodig bij praktische en operationele taken.

  • Reizigers informeren over vertrektijden, aansluitingen, dienstverlening en eventuele wijzigingen.
  • Instappen en uitstappen begeleiden met aandacht voor veiligheid en reizigersstroom.
  • Vragen beantwoorden, problemen signaleren en professioneel omgaan met onverwachte situaties.
  • Ticketverkoop en eenvoudige administratieve handelingen uitvoeren via digitale tools.
  • Reizigers met beperkte mobiliteit ondersteunen en indien nodig terugbetalingen of andere praktische opvolging regelen.
  • Samenwerken met collega’s in het station, zoals security en stationsverantwoordelijken.
  • Basisinzicht opbouwen in treinmaterieel en storingen herkennen zodat je snel en correct kan reageren.
  • Werken volgens een vast shiftritme met vroege en late uren, inclusief regelmatige weekendprestaties.

Je vaste vertrek- en eindpunt is het station van Essen Van daaruit start je elke shift en keer je ook terug, waardoor je werkstructuur duidelijk en herkenbaar blijft. Je krijgt bovendien een grondige, betaalde opleiding die je stap voor stap voorbereidt op de functie.

Voor deze functie zoeken we een gemotiveerde kandidaat met een sterke servicegerichte ingesteldheid en voldoende flexibiliteit om in een dynamische operationele context te werken.

  • Nederlands en Frans zijn verplicht; je kan vlot communiceren met reizigers en collega’s in beide talen.
  • Engels is een pluspunt, maar geen formele vereiste.
  • Je bent beschikbaar voor onregelmatige uren: vroege en late shiften, met sporadisch zeer vroege starturen.
  • Je kan minstens 1 vrij weekend per maand missen en bent bereid om ook in weekends te werken.
  • Je geraakt zelfstandig in het station van Brussel, ook op momenten waarop er geen openbaar vervoer rijdt.
  • Je hebt een sterke focus op klantgerichtheid, sociaal contact en duidelijke communicatie.
  • Je blijft kalm en professioneel onder druk en kan goed omgaan met onverwachte situaties of last-minute wijzigingen.
  • Je werkt nauwkeurig en hebt voldoende verantwoordelijkheidszin voor veiligheid, dienstverlening en opvolging.
  • Een diploma is niet vereist; motivatie, inzet en leervermogen zijn belangrijker.
  • Ervaring in een klantgerichte rol, met ploegensysteem of met veel menselijk contact is een plus
