About Customs Support Group

Customs Support Group (CSG) is Europe’s leading independent customs services provider. Founded in 1964, we operate in 14 European countries with 120+ offices and a team of 1,700+ customs professionals.

We help companies move goods across borders smoothly and compliantly, taking the pressure out of customs.

What we do: We support more than 60,000 clients and process over 20 million declaration lines each year.

From day-to-day customs declarations to compliance, duty optimization and trade advice, we make cross-border trade easier and more predictable.

How we work: We combine local customs expertise with modern digital tools to handle large volumes accurately and at speed.

Our technology helps teams work smarter, reduces manual effort, and improves turnaround times.

Why it matters: Customs rules are becoming more complex and mistakes are costly. Delays, compliance risks and unclear regulations can slow businesses down.

CSG helps clients stay compliant, reduce risk and keep their supply chains moving.

Why Join Us

At CSG, you will be part of a growing international organization operating across multiple European jurisdictions.

You will:

  • Work closely with international business stakeholders and leadership teams
  • Gain exposure to cross-border corporate and commercial legal matters
  • Support strategic projects and corporate governance initiatives
  • Contribute to a dynamic and collaborative legal team environment

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded lawyer looking to expand their in-house experience within an international organization.

Purpose of the Position

We are looking for a proactive and business-oriented Corporate Lawyer (Junior Level) to join our in-house legal team in the Netherlands on a temporary basis.

This role has been created to provide additional support on key legal and corporate governance projects through the end of the year. The successful candidate will provide legal advice across a broad range of commercial, corporate, and regulatory matters, while partnering closely with internal stakeholders to support the business in a compliant and risk-aware manner.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide legal advice and support to internal stakeholders on day-to-day business matters
  • Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a wide range of commercial agreements, including customer contracts, vendor agreements, NDAs, and framework agreements
  • Support compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including corporate, commercial, and data protection requirements
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate legal risks while proposing practical and commercially focused solutions
  • Support corporate governance activities, including board and shareholder resolutions, powers of attorney, and legal entity management
  • Assist with company secretarial and corporate housekeeping matters across various jurisdictions
  • Cooperate with external legal advisors and manage relationships with external counsel when required
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory developments relevant to the business and advise on potential impacts
  • Support internal projects, transformations, acquisitions, integrations, and other cross-functional initiatives from a legal perspective
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of legal processes, templates, and knowledge-sharing practices

What to Expect

  • Office-based or hybrid working arrangement in the Netherlands
  • Fixed-term contract for approximately 4–5 months, running until the end of the year
  • Possibility of contract renewal depending on business needs
  • Exposure to a broad range of international commercial and corporate legal matters
  • Opportunity to work directly with senior stakeholders in a fast-growing organization
  • Dynamic and fast-paced environment where priorities may shift and deadlines can be demanding
  • Supportive and collaborative legal team

Requirements

  • Law degree required; admission to practice is an advantage but not mandatory
  • 4–6 years of professional experience in corporate and/or commercial law
  • Experience gained in a reputable law firm, in-house legal department, or a combination of both
  • Strong knowledge of commercial contracts, corporate law, and corporate governance matters
  • Experience supporting board matters, legal entity management, and corporate housekeeping activities is highly desirable
  • Proven contract drafting, review, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to balance legal risk with commercial objectives
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Fluent English, both written and spoken
  • Proactive, hands-on, and comfortable working independently
  • Strong attention to detail, integrity, and organizational skills
  • Immediate availibility

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
