Job Description
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Sustainability Strategy & GovernanceExecute the global sustainability strategy and roadmap. Coordinate sustainability governance and accountability processes.
- Sustainability Reporting & PerformanceManage sustainability reporting and performance measurement. Ensure consistency of sustainability data and methodologies.
- Customer Sustainability SupportLead customer sustainability information and support requests. Support customer sustainability goals through credible sustainability insights.
- Product & Environmental Performance ProgramsCoordinate environmental footprint and sustainability performance programs. Support business application of sustainability performance information.
- Sustainability Capability DevelopmentBuild sustainability capabilities across regions and business functions. Strengthen sustainability ownership within operations and HSE.
- Sustainability Communications & PositioningDevelop sustainability communications and supporting materials. Support Rousselot's sustainability and circularity positioning globally.
- Coordinate execution of the global sustainability roadmap;
- Support annual sustainability planning and goal development;
- Manage sustainability governance processes and action plans;
- Facilitate sustainability alignment across business functions;
- Coordinate and facilitate the Sustainability Core Team and associated action plans;
- Support sustainability due diligence, onboarding and integration for acquisitions, jv’s and new facilities;
- Coordinate ESG reporting activities and data collection processes;
- Support development and management of sustainability KPIs;
- Coordinate sustainability performance reviews and dashboards;
- Support sustainability aspects of IPO readiness and disclosure activities;
- Establish and maintain sustainability reporting definitions, methodologies and data governance practices;
- Monitor emerging sustainability expectations from customers, markets, and industry stakeholders, particularly in regions driving global sustainability requirements;
- Support customer sustainability requests;
- Coordinate Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) activities;
- Support EcoVadis, Sedex, and other customer sustainability programs;
- Develop sustainability content and supporting materials;
- Develop standardized customer sustainability responses, supporting materials, and sustainability narratives;
- Coordinate sustainability initiatives related to energy, water, waste, carbon, and deforestation;
- Support integration of sustainability into business processes;
- Track progress of sustainability projects and action plans;
- Support sustainability activities for acquisitions, JV integrations, and new facilities.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Natural Resources, or related discipline;
- 5-8 years of experience in sustainability, environmental management, HSE, operations, or related disciplines;
- Experience with European sustainability regulations, customer expectations, reporting frameworks, and market requirements;
- Experience leading sustainability, ESG, environmental, compliance, operational excellence, or related projects;
- Strong understanding of European sustainability frameworks, customer expectations, and emerging regulatory trends affecting global manufacturing organizations;
- Strong organizational and planning skills;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills;
- Willingness to travel 30-40% of the time. Overseas trips may require travel during weekends.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting ESG, sustainability, environmental, quality, or operational excellence programs;
- Experience with customer sustainability requirements, sustainability assessments, reporting frameworks, or sustainability ratings;
- Experience supporting customer sustainability initiatives, carbon footprint programs, or sustainability-related commercial engagements.
- Carbon Footprint or LCA programs;
- Preferred GRI, Sustainability reporting training, Carbon accounting training, ESG related certifications.
- Experience working in a global or multi-site organization.
