The posting

Job description

Location: Battersea, London (hybrid; 2 days per week in office) Salary: base up to £85,000 plus uncapped commission. OTE £160k Benefits: private medical insurance, pension scheme and more Reports to: Head of New Business

Why this role exists Databarracks helps organisations become more resilient and recover quickly when the worst happens. We’re scaling our new business team to win new customers across the UK and we want a Senior New Business Development Manager who wants to grow with us.

What you’ll do

  • Own the full sales cycle on new business, from first meeting to signed contract, across a list of named target accounts in the UK.
  • Run discovery that really listens: ask, dig into what the customer tells you and tailor what comes next. Our intro to Databarracks lasts seconds, not minutes.
  • Manage complex deals over 6–12 month sales cycles, with an average deal of about £150k a year and plenty above that.
  • Qualify with rigour, whether that’s MEDDICC or another structured method.
  • Work closely with at least two dedicated SDRs, and help coach them, because the more you put in, the more you get back.
  • Aim for two to three new discovery meetings a week.

What we’re looking for

  • A track record of hitting target in a direct, full-cycle sales role where you owned your own pipeline. We’re not looking for channel-only selling.
  • You know your numbers inside out: target, attainment, deal sizes and sales cycles.
  • You’re coachable. You seek out feedback, act on it and drive your own development.
  • You take ownership of results, good and bad.
  • Typically 3–6 years in sales, for example a commercial or mid-market account executive ready to step up to enterprise.

Nice to have:

  • Training in MEDDICC or a similar method.
  • Experience selling into large organisations.
  • Success at a company whose brand didn’t do the selling for you.

You don’t need to know disaster recovery inside out, we’ll train you on what we do.

What you’ll get

  • Support: a sales culture of “high expectations, high support,” with weekly deal reviews, weekly call reviews and hands-on coaching.
  • Pipeline: at least two SDRs per salesperson feeding your pipeline, so you spend your time selling.
  • Commission: a strong, uncapped commission structure that rewards performance.
  • Tools: Sales Navigator, Lusha, Gong and AI-assisted automation, and we keep trying new tools that make the job easier.
  • Room to grow: a team building towards bigger customers and bigger deals every year.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.

Is it a subscription?

No. You pay once per CV, from $25. Every application goes out with its own CV, written for that posting.
