Job description

Senior Client Account Manager (Managed IT Services) Location: Battersea, London (Hybrid – minimum 2 days per week in office) Salary: £65,000–£70,000 + Bonus Benefits: Private Medical Insurance and comprehensive benefits package Reports to: Head of Client Services

Build strategic client relationships. Drive commercial growth. Shape resilience strategies. You've built a successful career managing and growing enterprise client relationships within managed IT services, cloud, cyber security or related technology services. You know how to engage senior stakeholders, uncover business challenges, develop commercial opportunities and build long-term partnerships that create value for both the customer and the provider. At Databarracks, our most successful Client Services account managers combine strategic relationship management with strong commercial instincts. They understand how to navigate complex organisations, identify opportunities for growth and help clients strengthen the resilience of their critical systems through a portfolio of managed services.

This role will appeal to someone who enjoys owning a portfolio of enterprise accounts, developing account growth strategies and leading commercial conversations with decision-makers across regulated industries. While strong client relationships are central to success, this is fundamentally a commercial account management role with responsibility for renewals, expansion opportunities, revenue growth and long-term account development.

If you have a track record of growing managed service accounts and delivering commercial results within the MSP, cloud, cyber security or infrastructure services sector, we'd love to hear from you.

Success in this role will be measured by:

  • Account revenue growth
  • Renewal performance
  • Upsell and cross-sell revenue
  • Pipeline generation and conversion
  • Gross revenue retention
  • Customer retention and account development

Key Responsibilities

  • Own a portfolio of enterprise accounts with responsibility for retention, growth and commercial performance.
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans that drive measurable revenue growth.
  • Identify, qualify and close upsell and cross-sell opportunities across managed services, cyber resilience and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Lead commercial negotiations, contract renewals and pricing discussions.
  • Build executive-level relationships with CIOs, IT Directors, Heads of Infrastructure and other senior stakeholders.
  • Maintain a healthy pipeline of expansion opportunities across your account base.
  • Forecast accurately against revenue and renewal targets.
  • Conduct regular business reviews focused on business outcomes, risk reduction and future opportunities.
  • Collaborate with technical and delivery teams to develop compelling client solutions.
  • Act as the commercial lead for your customers throughout the account lifecycle.

Essential Experience

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a Commercial Account Management, Strategic Account Management or Account Director role.
  • A proven track record of growing and retaining enterprise accounts within a Managed Service Provider (MSP), Managed IT Services, Cloud Services, Cyber Security, Disaster Recovery, Backup or Infrastructure Services environment.
  • Consistent achievement of account growth, upsell, cross-sell or revenue targets.
  • Experience owning commercial negotiations and closing six-figure managed service opportunities.
  • Experience managing complex B2B client relationships with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong commercial forecasting and pipeline management experience.
  • Experience working with enterprise and regulated-sector customers.

Desirable Experience

  • Disaster Recovery, Backup, Cyber Recovery or IT Resilience services.
  • Cyber Security managed services.
  • Cloud managed services.
  • Experience selling recurring managed service contracts.
  • Knowledge of regulated industries including financial services, legal and public sector.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
