About the Role

You'll manage procurement, construction contracts and vendor performance for services, materials and equipment supporting DayOne's data center projects in Chon Buri. You'll work with Procurement and Construction teams to define contract requirements, select vendors and negotiate commercial terms. Your scope extends from tender evaluation and contract preparation through vendor performance reviews, management reporting and process improvement.

Responsibilities

Project Requirements and Vendor Selection

  • Define requirements for services, materials and equipment with Procurement and Construction teams to develop contract specifications.
  • Research and assess potential vendors to select those suited to project requirements.
  • Consolidate requests for proposals (RFPs), conduct tender interviews and evaluate tender returns to support vendor selection.

Cost-Effective and Compliant Contracts

  • Negotiate terms and conditions to secure cost-effective contracts aligned with company standards.
  • Draft and review contracts and coordinate their approval to meet legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage construction contracts and vendor obligations to support delivery against agreed terms.

Measurable Vendor Performance

  • Establish vendor relationships that support communication and coordination with project stakeholders.
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for service quality, response times and compliance with contract terms.
  • Chair monthly vendor reviews to assess performance, agree improvements and implement follow-up actions.

Service Continuity and Process Improvement

  • Agree timely resolutions to contractual matters with vendors to support continuity of data center operations.
  • Generate and present vendor performance reports to senior management to inform decisions and service improvements.
  • Apply insights from Southeast Asian industry trends and process reviews to improve procurement and vendor management practices.

Requirements

Technical Skills

  • Experience managing vendors, negotiating contracts and administering construction contracts in the data center or construction industry, including applying contract law and standard forms of construction contracts.
  • Understanding of construction methods, the project lifecycle and interfaces between civil, structural and architectural works, mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, commissioning and operations in data centers or similarly complex facilities.
  • A bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Project Management, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or a related field, together with a relevant certification in procurement, supply chain management or contract management.

Soft Skills

  • Negotiate favourable contract terms and explain contractual requirements clearly, verbally and in writing, to vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Analyse vendor performance data, identify trends and translate findings into recommendations for senior management.
  • Coordinate multiple contracts and vendors, maintain regular performance reviews and agree professional, timely resolutions to contractual matters.

Nice to Have

  • Construction contract management experience on large-scale building, infrastructure or mission-critical data center projects.
